When I began researching CSE in CA & the updated Health Framework, I went to the library to investigate those & others offered in the kids section. This was another. Anyone saying that kids aren't being groomed in society is either complicit or willfully ignorant...see 🧵
This isn't about a "book ban" but about protecting children from predatorial grooming. This is about regarding the value and dignity of childhood. Ensuring kids have the gift of a childhood and a good education instead of being sexualized and politicized by weird adults is key.
This book was originally in the Health Framework Draft at the California Department of Education. The CFCC committee [cde.ca.gov/ci/he/cf/hefwc…] originally recommended this.
This book is still recommended by the California Department of Education. Page 80 of this book discusses a *six-year-old* performing oral sex. Nothing in the book indicates this as a concern or serious matter. #Grooming

This chart, of BLM's significant relationships, was made by a licensed investigator. Those supporting BLM are suspect not those who oppose the organization. BLM should not be found in TK-12 schools. I was informed that the CA Teacher's Assn. had BLM set up a table at past events.
"BLM is the ideological descendent of the Black Panthers and the Black Liberation Army. Susan Rosenberg, a board member of the organization that funded BLM until her involvement was publicized, had been a member of the May 19th Organizations..."
"Rosenberg's sentence for terrorist activities during the 70's/80's was commuted by Bill Clinton on his last day in office. The May 19th Organization set off a bomb in the US Capitol in '83 & Rosenberg was involved in that action."

We need transparency in education. In my experience it has been difficult to learn what is taught in CA, even if you file public records requests.

For example, if you know to request class slide decks, then you need to know to ask to see them in presentation mode. See 🧵
In CA, a Mom went to the school's district office in '19 to ask if they adopted a curriculum for Comprehensive Sexuality Ed. They said No. She thought it wasn't taught. In a game of semantics, they had not "adopted" curricula...all of the content was there - as supplemental.
Many have taught parents to ask, "What are you doing to comply with the California Healthy Youth Act?" What supplemental curricula, games, speakers, slides in presentation mode, videos, resources, books, models, role-playing, and organizations are used? This shouldn't be hidden.
