Had an honest conversation with one of my classes. Many of them voiced their frustrations with the provinces announcement last night 1/9 🧵@AdrianaLaGrange @albertateachers

They could not understand why the government would change these things without any warning. 2/9

They collectively said masks have no impact on their mental health. They want to be safe. 3/9

Many of them saw this as a political move rather than a health one. 4/9

We did a form in class after the discussion. The responses were collected anonymously. This is a high school class

Question 1: Where is your mental health at? 5/9

Question 2: How will you feel sitting in class with people unmasked? 6/9

Question 3: Will you keep wearing a mask? 7/9

Question 4: If more people feel really anxious about the whole situation, would you feel comfortable wearing a mask in this class? 8/9

I guess the kids are alright after all 9/9
