Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji is worshipped to overcome distress and negative energy, to overcome problems due to spirits, black magic, ancestors’ subtle bodies, suffering due to Shani Dev, etc.

The origin of Sri Panchamukhi Hanuman can be traced to a story in Ramayana. Image
During the war between Sri Rama and Raavan,Raavan took help of Ahiraavan, the king of Pathala.Hanuman ji in order to protect Sri Ram and Lakshman formed a fortress with his tail.Ahiraavan took form of Vibhishan, the noble brother of Raavan &took Sri Ram & Lakshman to Pathala loka. Image
Hanuman Ji entered pathala loka in search of Prabhu Ram and Lakshman. He found that life of Ahiraavan was hidden in the five lamps which were placed in five different directions. He could be killed only by extinguishing all five lamps at the same time.
To accomplish this Hanuman ji had to take the form of Panchamukha Hanuman.

This form of Hanuman Ji has five faces. Hayagriva, Narasimha, Garuda and Varaha are the four other faces along with Hanuman's face. Image
Hanuman Ji using the five faces in different directions blew air to extinguish the five lamps altogether, thereby killing Ahiraavan and saving Sri Ram and Lakshman.

That is how Panchmukha Hanumaan ji came into being to save the life of Prabhu Ram himself.

Jai Sri Ram 🙏

🌺The Ramayana has a philosophical, spiritual significance and a deep truth in it.🌺

The words ‘rays’ and ‘radiance’ come from the Sanskrit root word ‘ra’. ‘Ra’ means light, ‘Ma’ means within me, in my heart. So, Rama means the light within me. Image
That which is radiant in every particle of the being is Rama.
Rama was born to Dasharath and Kousalya. Dasharath means ‘Ten Chariots’. The ten chariots symbolize the five sense organs and five organs of action. Kousalya means ‘skill’.
The skillful rider of the ten chariots can give birth to Ram. When the ten are used skillfully, radiance is born within.
Rama was born in Ayodhya. Ayodhya means ‘a place where no war can happen’. When there is no conflict in our mind, then the radiance can dawn.
