A few elements of attention are worth adding to the conversation
- attention has a nature. There are 3 basic kinds (which are broken down to many more subcategories): loving, predatory, and indifferent. (JbP & Vvk primarily discuss the loving elements, SH the indifferent)
2/8
- the kind of attention shown will significantly impact what is drawn out of who/what is being attended to.
-the nature of what we see while attending, and the manner in which we attend is limited by our relevance realization
3/8
- Attention is not static. We are acting out our pattern of being, in a pattern of attending to a person/thing, which is itself inhabiting a pattern. This means that there is no static observation, no static attention.
4/8
-The nature of the person attending changes as the person recieving attention shifts their attention to the attender. (Ie- when the friend you were talking to turns their eyes towards you and smiles, it alters the manner in which you are now paying attention)
5/8
-Attention is spiritual currency. This is true with what you attend to outside yourself, but is also true with what you attend to inside yourself. What you pay attention to will grow (even if you are trying to shrink it). And the way you pay attention to it matters.
6/8
- The manner in which you attend, and the reciprocal relationship between what you pay attention to and what you see (developing relevance realization in real time) is at the heart of icons. Which is why @PageauJonathan is such an important part of the conversation.

Imagine a world where a benificent God turns his face towards you
And you turn your face toward him in love
What might come of that kind of attention?
