Contrary to urban legend, while Kennedy did indeed have a secretary called Lincoln, the latter had no secretary named Kennedy.
Another historical coincidence—libraries of 41st and 43rd Presidents are both named Bush.
Nixon had a secretary named Woods, and, during golf, Eisenhower sometimes had trouble with his irons.
President Hayes had a personal secretary named Hayes (his son) but no President had a personal secretary named Purple.
President Truman’s last three press secretaries (in chronological order) were called Early, Short and Tubby.
George Washington’s private secretary was called Lear, and so was LBJ (see below):
