Took a side quest into a @lootproject project with staying power, a clear role in the loot metaverse and big ambition.

It’s called The Genesis Project and it has set out to create characters & a rich history for the Lootverse

A few things I learned about @GenesisLoot 🗡🧵

OG lootbags have items wrapped in with them that can be distilled out, once per item. Might be a weapon or a piece of armour or magical attire. They are called ‘mana’.

If you collect together 8 pieces of mana you can ‘resurrect’ a legendary ‘Genesis Adventurer’.

I.e. Build your own badass from 8x Loot shaped Lego bricks.

There are 3 archetypes in the Lootverse contracts - Mage, Hunter & Warrior. You can create a hybrid or you can have an idea in mind and collect the mana to build that. Pimp Wizard was my aim,so my warlock wears silk.

You need to pick an order for your Genesis Adventurer. I picked Titan because that’s my preferred @LootRealms order.

@TimshelXYZ sits in core team of both @LootRealms & @GenesisLoot and some overlap /perk is possible, but to what extent is just speculation. This is not FA.

Building a ‘GA’ requires spending a couple of eth and takes time. You ‘design’ your character, then find and buy the pieces before you resurrect. There are good tools to help, and I lost 2 evenings to this - it’s geeky fun.

There is a limited supply. Only 446 have been resurrected by the community in 5 months. Max theoretical supply is 2,530 Genesis Adventurers. That is unlikely to be achieved as would require ludicrous co-ordination.

I consider this a luxury item and a super cool collectible. Most of the exciting @lootproject projects (@LootRealms , @LootExplorers , @hyperloot_ , @cryptsncaverns) have announced they will be supporting Genesis Adventurers, so I think I will get a lot of utility from my Mage.

My general feeling is that Loot is going to experience a broad and magical second wave. The hype died down and builders got their heads down. That plus scaling on #Layer2 with @StarkWareLtd is the perfect storm for good projects to start delivering 🔥. A GA is a play on that.

Shout out to @aloothero for guiding me through the processor creating my Genesis Adventurer. He is a Loot community historian, with a massive database of useful intel he is happy to share. If you love stats and collecting and fantasy; this is for you.

@TimshelXYZ links together Loot, Genesis Project, @divine_dao and @LootRealms, and I know the collective ambition of these teams is to create a genesis story for the lootverse, through the GAs and other elements to create rich, IP level lore.

You can just go and buy a GA off OpenSea; but I enjoyed the experience of blockchain hunting and learning Loot lore.
