The room is dark when he wakes up, the glow of the streetlights outside faint on the floor.

It's the click of the front door that woke him. Right. He fell asleep on the sofa, waiting for his husband to return.

Lan Zhan closes his eyes and listens to Wei Ying. The rustle of his coat, quietly stepping out of his shoes.

Wei Yings steps are nearly silent as he comes closer. A quiet hum, a hand on Lan Zhans shoulder. Tracing down to lightly touch his rounded belly, a soft hello.

More steps and he can hear Wei Yings breathing, feels him tuck a strand of hair behind Lan Zhans ear.

"Hey.. you know the couch is bad for your back, silly."
He wispers so softly, and LWJ gives a little murr in return.

"Y'r late.."

A soft exhale and LWJ can picture the smile it comes with.

"I know bun, and I am sorry that I kept you two waiting."

LWJ huffs.

Suddenly, two strong arms are worming under LWJ and his eyes spring open.

"What..!?"

But WWX is already lifting LWJ off the couch, holding him steady, and for a moment LWJ doesn't know how to breath.

The walk to their bed is silent. WWX is careful with his steps and LWJ fights the warmth blossoming in his chest.

He has a hard time letting WWX taking care of him. He is a independent man, always has been. But.. this little moment, he'll allow.

He'll allow himself to be held by the person he loves and trusts. By the father of his child.

WWX gently sets him down on the mattress and LWJ watches him shed his clothes quickly before he climbs into bed with them.

A hand settles on his bump naturally, and with a happy sigh, WWX nuzzels his cheek to mumble a "love you" into his skin.

The flat becomes quiet again and LWJ watches WWX face, puts his hand over his and closes his eyes.

"As I love you."
