Development Planning to host weekly workshops for online building permit system

Architectural professionals registered with the SACAP will now have access to weekly virtual workshops intended to familiarise them with the Construction Permit Management System (CPMS) until Friday, 08 April 2022

Championed by the Department of Development Planning, the CPMS is the City of Johannesburg’s latest digital solution specifically designed for building permit purposes

It is intended to modernise and streamline the current Site Development and Building Plan approval processes

Architectural professionals are the primary users of the system and are required to submit all building plans using their professional credentials, which automatically align to SACAP’s database to confirm that they are in good standing
#JoburgUpdates #JoburgServices ^NJ

The purpose of the workshops is to assist SACAP-registered persons to register, create personal profiles and use the online platform as it is being rolled out, to submit building plans and related applications

The agenda of all the sessions will include the same content, so professionals need only to attend one. The workshops will be held as follows:

The launch of the Zandspruit Ext 84 project will lead to the formalisation and upgrade of the informal settlement. The City of Joburg appointed the Housing Development Agency (HDA) to develop over 700 stands in the area.
