This ain't about food, and it's long, and "you follow me for recipes, not this stuff," and at this point IDGAF.
A Black woman risked her business, mental health, and personal/financial safety to reveal a scam artist who preys exclusively on Black women.

I watched as people said she was obsessed, "off her meds," lying, etc. She was none of those things. Those of us who can actually read court records, police reports, and county files could see she was telling the truth.

Yet and still, because she is a Black woman who was vocal about the abuses done to other BLACK women, people wanted to gaslight her into thinking she was wrong.
This abuser continued to scam unchecked.

He continued selling shitty products, bullying people online when they didn't receive products, doxxing people as well as their families.
Not a single platform has banned him. Why?

It's not because he's a well-loved public official. No one outside of his group of adherents knows who he is. It's not because he's a leader in his industry. Those of us who can actually cook would never claim his ass.

This man has gone unchecked because no one gives a shit about Black women. No one cares is we're scammed into the poorhouse. No one gives a damn if he sends his rabid followers after a woman or her children. Because. They. Are. Black. Women.

I have been in the culinary profession since I was 13. I LOVE my profession so much I've dedicated my entire life to being the best at it. I grew up in an industry where I didn't see people who look like me.

I endured my fair share of harassment, abuse, and discrimination in my career. What I'm not about to do is allow someone who claims to be a part of my profession go unchecked when I see it happening to another woman. Especially a Black woman.

We deal with enough bullshit just living in this skin and trying to make a living in this profession. I'm not about to sit back while someone continues to abuse Black women and incite others to do the same.

The likelihood that I am jeopardizing my career is high and I can't express to you how much I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.
Men: You need to speak up and defend your Black and Brown sisters.
Women: Stop choosing raggedy-ass men over your sisters.

Culinary professionals: SPEAK UP. This is not okay and as long as he's using the title "Chef," he is a false representation of our craft.
Social media heads: Deplatform Darius Williams AKA Darius Cooks AKA #dariuscrooks NOW.

Darius Cooks Cult: Don't even play yourselves. He doesn't GAF about you. You are his pawns and he plays you well. Do better.
Darius: get help.

@TheKitchenista I support you. I always have. I always will. You are NOT wrong. You are NOT crazy. You deserve to be protected. And you will be.

And I'm not going to argue with a goddamn soul about any of what I just wrote. If you don't have the intestinal fortitude or gumption to read through the #dariuscrooks and act, it's because you don't care about Black women.

And if that's the case, you ain't shit either.
