[How to Reframe the Anti-BBM and SD Narrative]

Reminder to prop people and people trying to convince UNITEAM supporters that by /just/ exposing the atrocities of the Marcos and Duterte regime, we will NOT change their supporters minds.

Many, if not most, of their supporters specifically like them because they believe in the positive changes the du30-marcos regime has done.

By directly going against their mindset, there'll automatically be a big pushback in their subconscious because we are telling them that what they believe in is wrong.

In order to change their minds, we have to go to the fact that many of them have little clue about the candidates rn if not for their fathers.

Focus on BBM as BBM, SD as SD. Focus on their bad actions and inactions.

This will make supporters of their fathers see that they cannot even do a good job and that they will destroy their father's "legacy"

By creating those seeds of doubt on their mind, they'll be more open now to see what other things they have missed. By this point we may have led them away to the bbm-sd tandem.

Next step is to pool them towards a candidate that we actually support. Bec if we just pull them away without pooling them somewhere, we may scatter them too thin and bbm-sd can still win.

Note that the tactics in the next couple tweets are for 1 on 1 talks, not prop.

How do we do this? We go back to their reality. The Marcos and Duterte regime were the "best" ones.

Start by focusing on what similarities in platform our candidate has with, or programs that our candidate plans on continuing.

Since our candidates are supporting these, /most probably/ these are okay programs that are not part of the atrocities of their regimes.

By this time we may have swayed them over to our candidates' side. Now it's time to focus on the other plans our candidate has, why we want to vote for HER.

Acc to a PR stragest, note that for narrative, it's not a "how will it affect you" that works best for Filipino people but rather a "how can it affect your loved ones" narrative. We can maximize this in explaining our candidates' platforms.

Going back, now that the supporter has fully turned to our candidates. It will now be easier to break their initial reality of "Marcos and Duterte best regimes ever". We can now explain to them better because by this time they'll be more receptive.

Note that this step is very very important too. Without exposing and opposing the previous regimes they may pass that idea on to their friends, family, and kids in the future. We can help stop the disinformation pipeline by doing this important step.

Last step is to convince them to do these as well. We can't /just/ rely on ourselves because people already know that we are anti-MAD. By having old supporters convince current one, we have a new set of ppl that can help us in campaigning.

We have to remember, kung sama-sama, #KayangKaya.

Let's remember that we are trying to convince people to not vote for BBM and SD and vote for Leni and Kiko. They are not exactly our enemies, the real enemies are the candidates and their fathers.

Dont come from hostility, start from a place of love.

Mas radikal ang magmahal.

Notes and disclaimers:

- this narrative is for elections, of course we should still and will still call out the atrocities. This is a reminder that we cant /just/ do that. We also have to focus on BBM and SD's incompetencies.

- use the language and style of your target audience to get their attention, use their meme formats, use their vlog formats. Make them feel comfortable to engage and read what you have to say.

- note that this may or may not work on all supporters. But given the trend of hardcore DDS turning pink (and coming out pink), many of them actually started not liking the tandem because of the narrative that they are losers not like their fathers.

Lastly:

VERY IMPORTANT TO POOL TO THE LENI-KIKO TANDEM!!

Let's not waste our efforts in getting them away only to find out that they didnt actually vote for Leni and Kiko.
