Yes, in some areas individuals have set up charities and I don’t doubt their altruistic intentions. But ultimately, I disagree with any fundraising ‘for the NHS’. It’s nonsense…

…people should direct their efforts into speaking up politically about the intentional dismantlement of the NHS by this government, preparing it to be sold off piecemeal to private companies.

If you want to support the NHS, please start talking about this urgently…

One last thing. I’ve seen a myth circulating recently that EveryDoctor claims to fundraise ‘for NHS staff’. We would absolutely never claim this. We are a political campaigning organisation and are not a charity specifically because to become one would stop us from speaking…

…up politically. Anyone spreading information contrary to this is doing so in ignorance or bad faith.

The NHS is a public service. NHS staff are public employees and they and their patients deserve proper funding and support. Nothing less. We must fight for this 💙
