1/3 Tonight I deleted the video I posted of the scene where Terrance Tegg was murdered this week. Usually I ignore comments and even though I don't agree with people asking for removal, I decided to write a piece about why these videos SHOULD be shared for the world to see.
2/4 To those not wanting for it to be shared, please don't ask why mainstream media and the international arena are saying nothing, because you wouldn't cause an outrage for Terrance and the other 22 000 people that will be murdered in South Africa before 2023.
3/5 To those wanting it to be censored, your wish has been granted. Please don't ask why the world doesn't act because your censorship has made Terrance a statistic and NOT a person. His story will not be told, he will just become a number because you caused no outrage.
4/6 I think too many people in South Africa are comfortable with seeing the numbers like 22000 murders p/a and shy away when confronted with reality.
5/6And to every dull individual who calls it crime porn or violence porn, get a life. If you think people like me, @Paratus2014, @RomanCabanac, @Joe_Emilio_ , @Abramjee etc like sharing these things, think again. It makes me sick!
6/7 If this should ever happen to me, I want each and everyone of you to share ot with the world. (My family grants this wish). May you think of all the faces of the 22000 people that will be murdered in SA this year, make sure they don't just become a statistic to you.
7/7 The biggest reason for the state of South Africa is not government or the ANC, it due to apathy and silent diplomacy. The fact that we don't show the world what happens to good men like Terrance Teg and innocent little children like Chantal Makwena.

Thank you @wicks_jeff and team for uncovering this:
🧵1/ Cash-strapped Hawks spent more than R50 000 on a bespoke academic gown and bonnet for their now retired boss, Lt Gen Godfrey Lebeya. (Graphics by S. Rood | Pictures by A. Nqunjana GCIS)
2/ Documents obtained via a @News24 PAIA application show the Hawks procured the gown through a little-known company, which outsourced the order to a Pretoria regalia manufacturer, and then added a R15 000 markup for “delivery and phone calls”.
3/ The gown cost R48 411 and the bonnet R5 719. Both were billed as “promotional/branded materials” and justified as necessary for Lebeya to wear when appointing senior managers.
🧵(1/10) In July 2004, Donovan Moodley abducted 21-year-old student Leigh Matthews from outside Bond University in Sandton. He demanded ransom from her parents.

(2/10) Her father, Rob Matthews, withdrew R50,000 in cash. Despite paying the ransom, Leigh was not released.

(3/10) Instead, Moodley drove Leigh to a veld near Walkerville, stripped her, and shot her several times. Her body was dumped and later found by police.

1/ One of the most explosive revelations in @wicks_jeff’ The Shadow State is about Vusimusi “Cat” Matlala.
A man with 13 separate police investigations against him.
Every case withdrawn.
Yet in 2019 his company landed a R360m SAPS contract.
How? #TheShadowState
2/ The charges ranged from theft to intimidation to attempted murder.
Not one went to trial.
Instead of accountability, Matlala was rewarded with public money. #TheShadowState
3/ His wife’s company, Cat Protection and Security, scored lucrative Gauteng hospital contracts.
This was the same corrupt procurement network Babita Deokaran flagged before her murder. #TheShadowState
🧵1/ Why are the Hawks and NPA not acting on the Gold and Tobacco Mafia?
Since 2020, over 100 suspects in a R10bn+ laundering syndicate were referred for investigation, but not a single arrest. This has major consequences for SA’s FATF greylisting.
🧵2/ This syndicate, allegedly led by a Zimbabwean tobacco, launders billions via gold smuggling, VAT fraud, illicit cigarettes, and offshore tax evasion.
