3/ $METIS is the native asset of the Andromeda Network, one of the newest & already top 3 scaling solutions in Ethereum

L2s are 3rd party blockchains operating on layer1 blockchains mainly to solve scalability issues. They serve as add-ons for the parent blockchain

4/ $METIS' Andromeda network uses Optimistic Rollups to improve efficiency.

What are rollups?
Smart contracts that move tx computations off-chain (L1 ->L2). After transactions r executed, L2 will "roll' em up" into a block.

Then, the block will be sent to L1 for verification

5/ Ok, cool. Now how does the Optimistic Rollups work?

In most cases, there are two groups - aggregators on L2 and validators on L1

**Specifically for Metis, L2 aggregators are called proposers and L1 validators are called verifiers

6/ By default, L1 assumes that tx's executed on L2 are valid, that's why it's called Optimistic

BUT⚠️ if a verifier notices an invalid tx that could indicate fraud, the verifier will challenge the proposer, which refers to executing a fraud proof to compute if fraud took place

7/ DAC Framework

8yrs ago, @VitalikButerin introduced the concept of Decentralized Autonomous Companies (DACs), decentralized businesses running all operations on blockchain. Since then, DAOs emerged as a way for groups to organize under decentralized voting and governance..👇

8/ But DACs weren't really a thing... until $METIS

@MetisDAO is building DACs seeing them as the hub for web3 economy: any individual/team/group of similar minds/community/small business can create their own decentralized enterprise & collaborate with others in the web3 world

9/ $METIS provides the infrastructure 4 on-chain txs to be conducted fast n cheap. Metis DACs will include all functionalities of a IRL company: enterprise software, payroll mgmt tools, msg platforms, and + (integrating them into templates to accommodate all kinds of businesses)

10/ @MetisDAO plans to release a DAC template early in Q2.

This will enable community members to create their DAC, manage membership, mint tokens & NFTs, manage multisig safe wallets, make investment or operation decisions collectively, manage payrolls, and much more.

11/ Decentralized Storage

Scheduled to be released and integrated into Andromeda mainnet at the end of Q1 2022.

In Q2 of 2022, any community member will be able to provide their own storage to join the decentralized storage solution and get incentives payed out in $METIS

12/ NFT Bridge 🌉

Launching at the end of FEBRUARY 2022👀👀

This bridge will enable the transfer of NFTs from Ethereum's Mainnet to Andromeda Layer 2 network, and therefore enable more economical transactions for these NFTs, while conserving the uniqueness of these.
