The Executive Secretary NCDMB, Engr @wabote_simbi was earlier today, rep by the GM, Capacity Building, Engr @amabikuru at the Kick-Off ceremony of phase II of the NCDMB/ITF Collaboration on Vocational Skills Training Programme which held at Bolton White Apartment, Abuja.
A total number of 100 participants successfully passed the test and were selected to take part in the phase II of the skill acquisition training Programme. The participants will be trained on different vocational skills such as;
1. Information technology
2. Building technology
3. Mechanic services and maintenance
4. Mobile phones repairs and troubleshooting and others.

In his speech, the Executive Secretary, NCDMB Engr Simbi Wabote, represented by Engr Ama Ikuru said this training is the second one organized by ITF in collaboration…,
…with NCDMB and 65% of the former trainees are entrepreneurs and are now employing others. He said the Board’s expectation from this phase of the training is that, trainees will become successful and be employers of labour.

The ES in his Keynote Address congratulated the organizers as he was delighted to be here and hoped that constant rubbing of minds will lead to breakthroughs and genuine and sustainable development of our country and our people. Image
He noted that he was particularly elated to be addressing young professionals in their 20s and 30s who are employed in decent and white-collar professions and many others who are entrepreneurs in what he would call “startup-preneurs”.

UPDATE:

The Oil & Gas Trainers Association of Nigeria (@OgtanOrg) led by its National President, Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi today, May 27th 2021, paid a visit to the ES, #NCDMB Engr. Simbi Wabote (@wabote_simbi) FNSE at the Nigerian Content Tower, Swali, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the Board with the new @OgtanOrg leadership, & to intimate the Board with progress made on the 7C’s of Categorization, Certification, Compliance, Collaboration, Competence, Curriculum & Cost effectiveness given to @OgtanOrg by the NCDMB
The @OgtanOrg president in his remark commended the ES @wabote_simbi & the Board for the Nigerian Content Tower noting that “Here today is a fantastic edifice that reckons with any building anywhere in the world resulting from astute management, diligence & hard work.”
