Sen Rick Scott (F-FL) wants ‘the American people’ to know what the GOP stands for and will *provide* to them. Let’s take a look at his 11 point plan to Rescue America. Be warned, I might swear a little in this one. A wee 🧵👇🏻
Point 1 - Indoctrination.
Scott says kids will say the pledge of allegiance in schools. How about we have some GOP Senators actually live up to that pledge and not be spreading Russian deza after spending the 4th of July in Moscow? Hey Rick, go talk to Ron Johnson.
Point 2 - Uniformity.
Eliminating people’s identity is not a governing policy. Stripping people of their very being after indoctrinating them into what you want them to be is a form of control. What’s next? Everyone wears the same clothing? A blue suit, red tie, white shirt?
Point 2 continued. Not everyone in this country believes in God and certainly there are people who have no idea how to define ‘character’. Republicans have been judging epidermis morality foreva eva.

politico.com/blogs/media/20…
Point 3 - Create a police state.
This will ensure those who have yet to be indoctrinated are sent for re-education. Gazpacho militants will roam the streets in search of non-believers and non-conformists to ensure the second amendment shoots the first.
Point 4 - Isolation.
Scott panders to the worst of trumps base. He might as well propose melting the Statue of Liberty and using the copper to mint trump pennies. Immigrants are teachers, soldiers, doctors, they *aspire* to be Americans, work for it. Scott was simply born.
Point 5 - Destroy the Federation.
Who needs a federal government anyway? The GOP proposes to eliminate 500,000 jobs. You know, to grow the economy. And stop socialism? They’re pissed about the price of gas, but Biden doesn’t set the price, if he did, that would be socialism.
Point 5 continued…. How about any member of Congress who wants to shrink the number of federal government employees, has to start with themselves?
Point 6 - Destroy the Federation II Electric Boogaloo Bois.
The digital age is allowing for things to be done locally. But not everyone has the same resources locally. Some don’t have broadband, or money because Senators like Scott voted against Biden’s agenda.
Point 7 - I’m rubber, you’re glue…
Gaslighting as a political platform is not a strategy for good governance. It is a means of controlling the narrative, thus the information, thus the mind, thus the person.
Point 8 - FEAR
Most people just want to wake up and have a good day. There is family and there are people you’re related to. So long as people like Sen Scott stay out of others peoples business, we’d get along just fine. Stop creating culture wars and wedge issues. Grow up.
Point 9 - Sex, Sex, Sex.
Don’t say that out loud or you may summon a witch, right Sen Scott? If points 5 and 6 are implemented how do you propose to take care of those babies once their born? What if nuclear families from point 8 won’t adopt them? What would white Jesus do?
Point 10 - Eliminate the Separation of Church and State.
So churches are going to pay taxes now right Senator? Not infringing on free speech by eliminating my ability to say religion has no place in a free thinking society seems to be an argument that collapses upon itself.
Point 10 - cont. If God is all encompassing, omniscient and ever present, is (pronoun) being blocked from some aspects of our lives? I say Jesus Christ like 40 times a day due to policies written by people who call themselves Christian. Most recently due to points 1 through 10.
Point 11 - Point 4 Redux
After we build a wall, let’s make sure we don’t trade with anyone either. We’ll have super high prices because everything we want will be made in the USA. Inflation? Psh. We’re Americans! We don’t need no stinkin’ partners on *our* planet.
Point 11 cont. I will give Sen Scott credit for admitting the Earth is round. However, we have global problems such as climate change that I noticed was nowhere in this 11 point summary. There’s a lot of I got mine so fu€# you in it though.
Indoctrinating citizens, taking away their unique value and perspective, dehumanizing immigrants, isolating the greatest democracy the world has ever known, an all out assault on the truth, a white dominated patriarchy. This is what the GOP selling. As policy.

Don’t buy it.
This is not a plan to govern, it is a plan to rule. Mitch McConnell didn’t even want this shared, but Rick Scott just had to get it out. No doubt to please hair fewer. The GOP is actively Point 7ing us right now. Make sure you’re registered to vote. Vote them into extinction.

We are in the Both Sides Era. For what seems the past decade, we have been subjected to both sides of the news, normalizing the weird, accepting the inappropriate, and moving on from the unforgivable.
Both sides are not the same.

A wee Sunday morning coffee🧵👇🏻
We have been so conditioned to Both Sides everything that we immediately fall into one side or the other. We are sorting ourselves based on memes and shallow thinking. Reporters complaining about hotel experiences due to the DNC running late, isn’t news. That’s a yelp review.
Have you noticed trump is on both sides of every issue? Probably not, because the “press hasn’t yet learned how to report on trump.” Why is covering trump any different from what they learned in journalism school?

Why not ask him about his incongruities? Or a follow up question?

Did you ever hear the phrase: “they have so much money they don’t know what to do with it.”? Not a problem, I’ve ever run into myself, but Project 2025 is just that. Billionaires want to be bankers. They want to sell off our governmental oversight to private companies they own.
Here is Project 2025. There isn’t one part of our lives this won’t touch. Think it doesn’t mean you? There is no provision to exclude from its effects those who vote for fascism so choose your candidate wisely.

Here is the part where they will abolish the federal reserve. It will be replaced by currency they can “create” and then lend out at their own interest rates. Image

“There is no place for political violence” has been a pretty common refrain throughout the weekend. It really got me thinking. ”Political violence” must be one of those “you know it when you see it” types of things.

Let’s see…
🧵👇🏻
Political violence strikes me as a visual medium but there are so many things that occur before we see the blood that I think might be political violence. Are we just numb to it? How do we define what is political violence and what is just violence? Why is it different?
Are Texas Gov Greg Abbott’s razor balls floating in the river, considered “political violence”? Kind of. I mean, the idea is people from south of the US shouldn’t be allowed to come here and take our jobs.
Political.

To deter from this, razor balls in the river.
Violence.

There’s been a lot said about Joe Biden since the debate. I, along with so many of you, watched it play out in real time as respected news transmitters read out ‘inside texts’ from knee jerk reactionaries.
After much thought, I won’t be voting for Joe Biden because he’s old.
🧵👇🏻
I’ll be voting for Joe Biden because he’s team democracy. I’m voting for ideas he represents. I’m voting for the team of people he can put together. I’m voting for my own interests and for your ability to vote for your own interests. I didn’t vote for him last time either, btw.
In 2020, I voted for a November 5th, 2024 election. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were the only options on the ballot that allowed this. I colored in Joe and Kamala’s bubble to keep the lights on long enough for us to have this election. Like many of you, I voted team democracy.

I am loathe to do predictions. However, there are some things you just can’t help but see coming. Project 2025 is a blinking red alarm and we all need to be aware of the stakes of this election. Please familiarize yourself with EO11246, be discriminating voters.

A wee thread🧵👇🏻
On September 24th, 1965 President Lyndon Johnson signed Executive Order 11246. EO11246 established Equal Opportunity Employment. It includes Non-Discrimination in Government. It includes Non-Discrimination Employment by Government Contractors and Subcontractors.
Focus on Non-Discrimination Employment by Government Contractors and Subcontractors. In Sub Part B under Contractor’s Agreements, contractors agree to not discriminate against employees based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Trust me…
🧵👇🏻
The above is the oath the President takes at 12 noon on January 20. Typically, it is administered by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court but there is no law that makes that a requirement. You could have your gran do it. So why is it *usually* the Chief Justice?
For this thread let’s assume the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is there as a symbol of the law. Chief Justice Roberts in a way represents the Judicial Branch of our government on the day it grants power to the person who will symbolize the Executive Branch.
