Nazis went away but the world treats Nazi propellor wings as a premium fancy brand. You can even make out a Nazi swastika once you remember that BMW was basically building Nazi war planes when the Nazis were in power.

This car business is like if Mike Corleone went legit.

The Volkswagen diesel emissions scam is like peak example of what is wrong with capitalism as it stands today. Started off with the Nazis. Then 50 years later, just lied to the world, large scale, that their diesel cars are clean. Plain simple lies.

I went to engineering school thinking German engineering was the best engineering.
If someone had told me 20 years ago that Volkswagen would pull an elaborate multi department scam to pretend like its diesel cars were reducing emissions, I'd think it was a Crichton novel.

Volkswagen literally directly played a big role in climate change. Google how much carbon was released into the air because customers and governments believed Volkswagen's extremely elaborate fraud. It wasn't one or two rogue agents. It was like Russian Olympic doping.
