When Lwj met Wwx, he almost felt his own heart stopping. He was like anyone else he'd met before, both exasperating (affectionate) as exhilarating (horny).

He realized he was daydreaming about a future with him on the second day of meeting him. So that was that.

But soon it was obvious that Wwx was maybe not free to just explore Lwj's domestic fantasies. Just a couple days later, the first mention of his kids made Lwj feel his heart fall to his stomach.

From then on, his kids were a common topic of conversation, always with a fond smile

And the thing was, Lwj would gladly step in. He loved children. He always paid attention to Wwx's stories about them, and started to know little things from every one of them, their quirks and talents, their woes.

It was a very large family, from what Lwj could see.

But. Wwx always spoke so happily about everyone around him, and flirted like there was no tomorrow. So Lwj was never quite sure if the kid's other parent was in the picture or what.

So he kept a careful distance while trying to drink in everything about Wwx and his kids.

Then one day, Wwx got a call from one of them, and he started using his 'soothing' voice, the one full of empathy and compassion. When the call ended, Wwx explained that it was one of his boys, who was upset and would it be ok to invite him to the cafe with them?

Lwj agreed, of course, and soon a teenager appeared and dramatically threw himself into Wwx's arms. He sniffed a bit and let himself be fussed over like a much smaller child.

'Its ok, darling, what happened?'

'Just dad being his usual asshole self. I can't stand it anymore'

Lwj froze. In all this time, this was the first mention of the other parent of Wwx's children, and it seemed the situation was difficult.

'Oh sweetie. That's awful. Do you wanna stay at mine for the weekend?'

'Oh, that'd be great! Thanks'

'Anything for my most favourite son'

The boy giggled at that, but it seemed it lifted his mood enough to stop needing all the fussing, so he batted Wwx's arms away playfully.

Then it seems he noticed Lwj for the first time. Lwj gulped. He had to make a good first impression.

'Oh, let me introduce you. This is Lan Zhan, he's the best'

'The best what?', asked the boy.

'Everything. Just the best' said Wwx with a smile then he turned to Lwj and introduced the boy. 'He's Zizhen, he was born from my own body' he explained with fondness.

But the boy just groaned 'Stop saying that!'

Wwx giggled, apparently happy to tease the kid. Then he turned to Lwj again and explained further: 'He's friends with my nephew Jin Ling, but he's a passionate romantic soul like me so I'm going to steal him to form my own family'

'You don't have to steal me, I'd gladly go with you. My family sucks'

So... Zizhen was not Wwx's kid, apparently. And no other parent then. Lwj felt his heart in his throat now.

Maybe this was his chance to find out more about all of Wwx's children that he loved so much.

After asking as subtly as he could, Lwj discovered that Wwx seemed to be a magnet for kids who needed a positive figure in their lives, and he always helped and supported them.

Things started slowly slotting into place. Zizhen, his nephew's friend. Xuanyu, a bullied neighbor.

That time Wwx said he had to go home early because little A-Qing was sick, he meant he was babysitting his Uncle Xxc's daughter.

Kids at the cultural center, kids at the park, kids at his nephew's school, kids everywhere flocking around him, allured by his kind nature.

After a little more digging, Lwj finds out Wwx is very much single and childless.

He does spend a lot of time around kids of all ages, who all love him very much, and opens his house and arms to any kid who needs him, but none of the are actually his. Yet.

Because, Lwj, in all his desperate caution failed to notice that Wwx has considered them a couple for a while.

And as Lwj loves kids as much as he does, (once he realizes he's in a relationship with his dream man), it doesn't take long for them to take in one of Wwx's 'kids'.

Maybe one day they'll actually 'steal' some of those kids to make their big dream family.

There's two of them now, they'll have a strategy and all.
