I'm really getting frustrated with how all of Marlena's stories seem to end. She was just possessed for the second time during which she falsely committed a man and spewed a patient's secrets. But she's just back at work like it's all fine and dandy. #Days
I think something will probably come back up later, but so far literally no one has been the slightest bit upset at her about anything. She has a GREAT excuse, but SOMEONE should be mad. Someone should have made her have to fight for her job. #Days
It's reminiscent of when Marlena had to get Bayview to let Evan out and he escaped. Not only did Allie never even find out what she did for her, Marlena suffered no professional consequences. #Days
All of their stories tend to end this way now, and it's frustrating because the fallout consistently has so much potential. It's part of my issue with them and Kristen. Marlena isn't Rafe. She can deal with consequences and drama. #Days
If you're going to have her torture the town for months, let some people be angry and wary. This is a character whose one mistake in 1993 is still brought up nearly 30 years later regularly. She can also handle this stuff. #Days
If the affair had been the whole story in 1993, there wouldn't have been a possession to revisit last year. The fallout is important. #Days
There's definitely potential for fallout when it comes out that Johnny is possessed and that Jan is pregnant, but there's no reason not to lead into it with some other much more real world fallout. Tripp and Paulina are great candidates to be mad and giving her issues. #Days
Meanwhile, the ONE scene in two months that has aired regarding her feelings about what happened was cut and we had to watch it on effing youtube. Come on, #Days.
Also, Marlena still hasn't seen any of her children. She has two onscreen, and one lives with her, but there has been nothing. She saw Johnny briefly (so one grandchild) but it got cut, and that's it. They did this whole big thing for the exorcism, and for what? #Days
And like...Brady watched his mother turn into his ex. How does he feel about that? #Days
