✏️Have a topic
Twitter spaces should have a title.
Unless you intentionally want a very random Twitter space, avoid titles like "let's talk, Hi I am XYZ, let's just make a space", "chatting".
Give people a reason to join your Space.
🧑🤝🧑Guests
Having guests related to the topic can really boost up your Twitter Space.
They would also hopefully help you to promote your Space, which is a great plus especially if you haven't already a huge account
📝Have a structure
Twitter Spaces tend to be chaotic, so giving it a structure is nice:
Having a list of topics that helps you don't go off-topic
Having a list of the questions for your guests it's even better
⏰Have an idea of the duration
Having an idea of how long the space will last is useful for your guests and for you to organize the rest of your day.
In general, I don't recommend doing very long spaces, but rather doing a lot of space by dividing the time into a month.
🗓️Regular Spaces
Having a space that repeats every week, every 2 weeks, or every month, according to your commitments, can help your audience to stay free to participate in your spaces.
🙋♀️Make an introduction
You have a good topic and you also promoted it.
But not everyone who enters your space is aware of it, so it is very important to inform about how the space will take place, and remember it every 15-20 minutes during the space
🛑Check people's Bio before letting them talk
As a host, before you invite someone to speak on the stage, you can check their profile, and in case you see something racist, sexist, porn content, or anything like that, don't invite these people to speak.
(Bonus tip: Block them)
⛔Moderate the space
If a speaker really goes very off-topic and talks in a very promotional way, don't hesitate to stop them and point this out very politely.
This is not censorship but it is respect for the time of the people who are listening in your space.
📌Pin a tweet for the questions
You can create a tweet/comment to collect questions
This will help the shy people to interact with the space and it will give the possibility to other people to interact with the space even after the space is finished
👋Don't just say bye
At the end of the space make a shoutout to all the speakers and those who have provided value.
Don't hesitate to promote your upcoming Spaces: if people are in the space they like your style, so why don't inform them about the new events?
😁 Enjoy
Last but not least, if it makes sense for the space and you can insert some jokes, some funny anecdote, or something to entertain your audience, especially in these difficult times.
This will make your space special⭐
