With the eyes of the world on Ukraine, some are closely following events for all the wrong reasons.
Days ago I met with Taiwan's representative in the EU Eric Huang and here's a thread to sharing his thoughts. #StandWithUkraine#StandWithTaiwan
Ukraine could soon become a Pacific problem, with Taiwan’s EU rep warning of the “real danger” of a China-Russia-Iran axis.
“This is a global fight between democracies and authoritarian states. A fight for stability and international peace,” Eric Huang told the Mail on Sunday.
“It’s in Taiwan’s interest to pay attention to what’s happening in this part of the world otherwise no country will be safe — it will become an Atlantic and Pacific problem."

In a chilling echo of Putin coveting Ukraine, China openly declares similar territorial claims over Taiwan.
Mr Huang explained: “This is the reason we’re so mindful of the developments in Ukraine…It’s a matter of survival that we pay attention. There’s lots of real danger."
“China has a pretty close relationship with Iran and Russia. But there’s never direct evidence they’re collaborating. These are all authoritarian states — everything is in a black box.”
“The world has been divided for a long time. This is not a new phenomenon. But now we’re looking in a different light. The threat is even more real than before.”
Mr Huang was speaking from his office in Lithuania-one of the Baltic states neighbouring Belarus.
