Backyard food production isn't that hard and learn-as-you-go, esp if neighbors are also trying it out. 
Also, what some of us know, is surplus eggs & maters are good as gold for trading up and down the street. Neighbors feed each other in a pinch. Get to know your neighbors.
Look up your local meat & butcher shops, you'll keep eating while big box stores run out.

If eco slides downhill fast, so will postal, gas, & medical, so take inventory & get refills on scripts, get your basic first aid stocked up, keep your car topped off. Never hurts to have backup batteries.
If everything on TV is making you nervous, take a break & get on game with friends, really helps nerves to preoccupy with something else.
