In Islam, the end of the world is referred to as the Hour and involves Jesus returning to Damascus to slay an anti-Christ who has put the planet in peril.

In Judaism, there is no term for Armageddon, but there are references in the Hebrew bible to events that could be compared with Armageddon, including the Day of the Lord (in which God causes death and destruction to people who deserve to be punished)

50 Signs of the Day of Judgment from the Words of Allah and His Messenger

The Signs are listed in roughly chronological order, although the order is not necessarily precise, especially for those in the future.

This is a brief summary of the signs; there are many books, articles, cassettes etc. which discuss these in greater detail.

May Allah enable us to recognise and heed the Signs, and strengthen us in the times of tribulation.

"Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to come to them suddenly? But its Signs have already come!" (Al-Qur’an, Surah Muhammad)

Past

1. Splitting of the Moon.

2. Death of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

3. A form of death which will kill thousands of Muslims. (Understood to refer to the plague of Amwas during the
caliphate of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab.)

4. A major fighting in Madinah (understood to refer to the battle of al-Harrah during the caliphate of Yazid, 63 AH).

5. The Muslim conquest of Jerusalem.

6. The Muslim conquest of Constantinople.

7. Two large groups of Muslims will fight in war.

8. A war between the Muslims and a reddish people with small eyes, wearing sandals made of hair (understood to refer to
the Mongol Tatar invasion of the Islamic lands.)

9. A peace agreement between the Muslims and non-Muslims from the yellow race (Chinese, Mongols, etc.)

10. Thirty impostors (dajjal) will appear, each thinking he is a prophet.

11. Naked, destitute, barefoot shepherds will compete in building tall buildings.

14. Knowledge will be taken away (by the death of people of knowledge), and ignorance will prevail.

23. People will gather for prayer, but will be unable to find an imam to lead them.

Future

24. The number of men will decrease, whilst the number of women will increase, until for every man there are 50 women.

25. The Euphrates will reveal a treasure of gold, and many will die fighting over it, each one hoping to be the one who gains
the treasure.

26. The Romans (Europeans) will come to a place called A’maq or Wabiq, and an army of the best people will go forth from Madinah to face them.

27. The Muslim conquest of Rome.

28. The Mahdi (guided one) will appear, and be the Imam of the Muslims.

29. Jesus Christ will descend in Damascus, and pray behind the Mahdi.

30. Jesus will break the cross and kill the swine, i.e. destroy the false christianity.

31. The Antichrist (al-masih al-dajjal, the false christ) will appear, with all his tools of deception, and be an immense trial. He will be followed by 70,000 Jews from Isfahan (present-day Iran).

32. The appearance of Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog), and the associated tribulations.

33. The emergence of the Beast from the Earth, carrying the Staff of Moses and the Seal of Solomon, who will speak to the people, telling them they did not believe with certainty in the Divine Signs.

Five signs of the Day of Judgement we are witnessing now

“The Hour (Last Day) will not be established until (religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious learned men), earthquakes will be very frequent, time will pass quickly, afflictions will appear, murders will increase and money will overflow amongst you.”

1. Death of scholars – the loss of knowledge

In this hadith we see that there are five signs which will appear before the Day of Judgement.

The first sign is the loss of religious knowledge through the death of scholars and we have indeed seen a large number of scholars pass away over the last two years,

including big international names as well as our dear local scholars and teachers, may Allah have mercy on all of them

Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As narrated that he heard Allah’s Messenger (peace be on him) saying:

“Allah does not take away the knowledge, by taking it away from (the hearts of) the people, but takes it away by the death of the religious learned men till when none of the (religious learned men) remains,

people will take as their leaders ignorant persons who when consulted will give their verdict without knowledge. So they will go astray and will lead the people astray.” (Bukhari)

2. Increase in earthquakes and natural disasters

Sign 2 is earthquakes, as well as floods and storms which we have seen increase over recent years. The changes in the environment and the climate catastrophe we have brought upon ourself are a sign of the Day of Judgement.

3. The barakah will be taken from time

Sign 3 is that time will pass quickly. It feels like yesterday that the pandemic started and yet is has already been almost 2 years.

Where did this time go? Time will move quickly and the barakah will be lifted from many things, including time. Your life will be rushing past you.

This means you should prepare for that day, as your time is running out. As Allah Almighty stated in Surat al Kahf:

When the record will be laid out before them, the sinners will be frightened of what they see in it, and they will say, “Woe to us, what kind of record is this that doesn’t leave out anything small or big, it records everything.”

They will find everything they had ever done in front of them. And your Lord is not unjust to anyone (18:49)

Invest in the time Allah has given you

Do not let time pass you by. Make every second count by either remembering Allah, or doing something good or refraining from something bad, or reflecting on the akhirah, so you will find it in your account on the Day of Judgement.

The time we have on earth is our capital. Are we going to invest in the right way? Are we going to put it in a high, medium or low risk investment or cryptocurrency and Bitcoins?

You are funding the akhirah. What really counts is good deeds.

4. The increase in trials and tribulations

Fitan trials and tribulations will appear. Fitan are things that make you confused and you become unsure whether you should or should not do something, the halal and haram will appear blurred and you will not be clear what is right or wrong.

Not everyone will be in that boat, but many will be the boat of fitan.

“The reward of worship performed at a time of trials is equal in reward to an emigration to me.” (Muslim)

Increase in senseless killing

The Prophet (peace be on him) used the term al-harj, which Ibn Faris, the great linguistic scholar explained in his book Mu’jam Maqayyis al Lughah as chaos and confusion.

The Prophet (peace be on him) defined it as bloodshed, as the chaos leads to killing. We are seeing this in Afghanistan and other parts of the world, where there is a great deal of harj. We have seen so many tragedies that we have lost count.

In another hadith, Abu Hurayrah reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be on him) saying:

"The world would not come to an end until a day would come to the people on which the murderer would not know as to why he has killed and the victim would not know as to why he has been murdered....

They said: Why would It happen? To which he replied: It would be because of general massacre and bloodshed. And the killer and the victim would be in Fire." (Book of Hadith: Muslim)

(The killer and the victim would be in fire because both would willingly participate in chaos and each one of them want to kill the other, so both would get the same punishment from God)

Abu Hurayrah reported Allah’s Messenger (peace be on him) as saying:

"By Him in Whose Hand is my life, a time would come when the murderer would not know why he has committed the murder, and the victim would not know why he has been killed." (Muslim)

We see that the one who killed will not know why he killed and nor will the one who was killed because of the confusion.

There will be senseless killing, to the extent that people will murder their own close family members-fathers will kill their sons and sons will kill their brothers.

The Companions were shocked by this and asked him how this could be happen. They wondered if those who could do such a thing will be in their right minds, and the Prophet (peace be on him) told them that most people at that time will lack reason.

And people would be surrounded by those who have no aql (sense). They will be crazy and they will be leading the way and we, the general public will pay the price.

Abu Musa narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said:

"Before the Hour comes there will be harj.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is harj?” He said: “Killing.” Some of the Muslims said: “O Messenger of Allah, now we kill such and such a number of idolaters in one year (i.e in the war with the idolaters).”

The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “That will not be like killing the idolaters (in a fight/war) , rather you will kill one another, until a man will kill his neighbour and his cousin and a relative.”

Some of the people said: “O Messenger of Allah, will we be in our right minds that day?”

The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “No, reason will be taken away from most of the people at that time, and there will be left the insignificant people who have no reason.” (Book of Hadith: Ibn Majah)

This is a sign of the Day of Judgement and what is shocking is the question of the Companions who wondered whether the perpetrators could possibly be sane when they carried out such brutality, and the Prophet (peace be on him) replied that they would not be.

Sadly we have lived to witness this. People have lost their minds and in this state they are carrying out heinous atrocities.

5. Increase in wealth

The fifth sign is that there will be plenty of money, as we are seeing around us. Though at the same time we see plenty of poverty and hunger and destitute people.

According to the Prophet (PBUH), there are 10 major signs that will precede the last Hour and will announce of the finality of the Day of Reckoning. These 10 signs are explained in the following hadith:

Muslim narrated that Hudhayfah ibn Aseed al-Ghifaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out to us when we were discussing.

He said: “What are you discussing?” They said: “We are talking about the Hour.” He said: “It will never begin until you see ten signs before it.” He mentioned the smoke, the Dajjaal, the Beast,

the rising of the sun from its place of setting, the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him),

Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, and three landslides, one in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula, and the last of that is a fire which will emerge from Yemen and drive the people to their place of gathering (Sahih Muslim, Book 041: 6931)

Lets talk about
Al Mahdi

Who is he? Signs of his appearance? What are the future events related to him?

Many muslims and non muslims read or heard about Al Mahdi, the character from the future who shall change the world & his appearance is linked with rising & falling of nations

(Note; every nation has its own Al Mahdi! I will explain this later on the discussion)

The term "MAHDI" is a title meaning "The Guided one". Mahdi is a normal man who is going to follow the true Islam. His name will be Muhammad and his father name will be 'Abdullah.

He is a descendant from Ali and Fatima (daughter of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh)) so he will be descendant from al-Hasan or al-Husain. Mahdi will be very just and his capital will be Damascus.

Allah told us that Bani Isra'el will master the world two times and Al Mahdi will appear between those two periods and will rule through the last one.

Mahdi is NOT a prophet but he is the final Rightly Guided Khalifa/Caliph or Walli/Saint . Mahdi will lead Muslims to a great victory against the Romans (i.e. All the white Europeans including the Americans).

This great war is called al-Malhamah al-Kubrah (or Armageddon). It will end up with a great victory to Muslims against Romans after six years. Muslims will take over their capital Rome (this can be any city).

In the seventh year, the Antichrist will appear and a greater war will start between hypocrite Jews and Muslim believers for 40 days (longer that usual days) and will end when Jesus (pbuh) will come and Muslims will kill all the hypocrite Jews.

Narrated Jabir ibn Samurah:
The Prophet (pbuh) said: The religion will continue to be established till there are twelve caliphs (Khalifas) over you, and the whole community will agree on each of them. I then heard from the Prophet (pbuh) some remarks which I could not understand

I asked my father: What is he saying: He said: all of them will belong to Quraysh.

Disagreement will occur at the death of a caliph (khalifa) and a man of the people of Medina (Madina) will come flying forth to Mecca (Makka).

Some of the people of Mecca will come to him, bring him out against his will and swear allegiance to him between the Corner and the Maqam. An expeditionary force will then be sent against him from Syria (Al-Sham) but will be swallowed up in the desert between Mecca and Medina.

Then there will arise a man of Quraysh whose maternal uncles belong to Kalb and send against them an expeditionary force which will be overcome by them, and that is the expedition of Kalb. Disappointed will be the one who does not receive the booty of Kalb.

He will divide the property, and will govern the people by the Sunnah of their Prophet (pbuh) and establish Islam on Earth. He will remain seven years, then die, and the Muslims will pray over him.

An army would attack this House in order to fight against the inhabitants of this House and when it would be at the plain ground the ranks in the centre of the army would be sunk and the vanguard would call the rear flanks of the army

and they would also be sunk and no flank would be left except some people who would go to inform them (their kith and kin).

Narrated Mustawrid al-Qurashi: I heard Allah's Apostle (pbuh) said: The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people (This is exactly the situation today since Europeans and Americans are the largest group).

Amr said to him (Mustawrid al-Qurashi): See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from Allah's Apostle (pbuh) Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. (1) They have the patience to undergo a trial

and (2) immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and (3) attack again after flight. (4) They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that

(5) they put resistance against the oppression of kings.

Imam Mahdi

The Twelfth Imam

The eleventh Imam’s holy body had been prepared and the mourning attendees were waiting to see who would lead the prayer for the late Imam…Imam al-‘Askari’s brother Ja’far stepped up to lead the prayer,

but as soon as the brother prepared to utter the opening statement, a radiant young boy approached. “Step back, uncle,” said the boy, whose face glowed like the full moon, “…for I have a greater right [than you] to (lead) the prayer over my father.”

Ja’far’s color changed as the young Imam spoke. He stepped back to make way for the twelfth immaculate Imam.

The Holy Imam, son of Imam Hasan al-Askari, then led the prayer.

The twelfth Imam’s name is that of Prophet Muhammad. He is referred to by many titles, such as al-Hujjah (the proof), al-Qa’im (the one who rises), and Sahib al-Zaman (guardian of the age).

However, the most famous of his titles is al-Mahdi (the guided one). Imam al-Mahdi is the savior whom Prophet Muhammad spoke of on numerous occasions.

“Even if no (period) remained left in time except for a single day, God would (still) send forth a man from my family to fill it with justice, just as it had been filled with injustice.”

The Shia scholars have conclusive evidence that Imam al-Mahdi was born in the year 255 AH (869 CE) and is living to this day as a hidden personality. In other words, Imam al-Mahdi is over 1000 years old! These statements raise many questions

Questions to Answer

How can someone live that long? Practically, living that long does not seem feasible. But, to be fair, if we consider this in a purely rational way, the logical possibility – although unlikely – still exists.

Now, when one recognizes that the All-Powerful Lord of the Worlds is in control of everything, extending the life of a man for some Divine purpose can easily be fathomed

But what is the use in having a Hidden Imam? To be clear, the Imam is not invisible. He is in occultation. “Occultation” here refers to the concealment – not the invisibility – of the twelfth Imam.

During the occultation, Imam al-Mahdi has led and continues to lead a normal life in the heart of various societies. However, he is not publically known as Imam al-Mahdi.

Divine wisdom dictated that the twelfth Imam should not be publically apparent until a time in which society would be best prepared to receive his guidance.

The time of occultation is meant as a way to protect the Imam from imprisonment or assassination and as a test of faith for people. Beyond these reasons, only God knows the true wisdom behind the occultation.

At one point, Prophet Muhammad was asked if the Shia would benefit from the Imam during his occultation.

The Prophet replied, “Yes, I swear by the One who sent me as a Prophet, they do benefit from him and are illuminated by the light of his guardianship during his occultation – just as people benefit from the sun, even when it is concealed by the clouds.”

At any point in time, God always has a manifestation of the best guidance to humanity – whom we call the Imam. Because of this reality, we know that the Imam is the medium through which God channels the emanation of Divine perfections to the rest of creation.

The Imam, then, is the channel for spiritual life and energy to the universe. Without the Imam as the conduit for Divine expression, the universe would collapse.

As the sixth immaculate Imam, Ja’far al-Sadiq, described it, “If the earth were to be without an Imam, it would go under.”

The Occultation

In discussing Imam al-Mahdi’s life, the context of two main periods – the Minor Occultation (al-Ghaybat al-Sughra) and the Major Occultation (al-Ghaybat al-Kubra) – comes into focus.

The Minor Occultation lasted for about 69 years, during which Imam al-Mahdi maintained limited contact with specifically designated representatives. There were four appointed representatives of the twelfth Imam, who served consecutively during this period.

Before the fourth representative’s death, Imam al-Mahdi informed him that the Major Occultation would soon begin.

Hence, there would be no more specifically designated representatives.

But rather, in accordance with intellectual practice, the Shia were to refer to the most qualified scholars for direction and guidance. These qualified scholars would be considered general representatives of the twelfth Imam.

When someone asked Imam al-Mahdi about who the Shia should refer to regarding events that occur during the occultation, the Imam replied:

“As for the events which occur, refer back to the narrators of our narrations (the qualified scholars) in that (regard).

For indeed, they are my proof (as witnesses) upon you and I am the proof of God.”

Signs and Preparations

Prophet Muhammad and the immaculate Imams have narrated several ‘signs’ which are believed to herald Imam al-Mahdi’s advent. Some of these signs include:

1.     The appearance of al-Yamani

2.     The call from the sky

3.     The murder of the pure soul of al-Nafs al-Zakiyyah

4.     The appearance of al-Sufyani

5.     An eclipsed in the desert of the Arabian peninsula

The appearance of Al Yamani

According to Shia sources, it is not clear whether Al-Yamani is one of descendants of Hasan ibn Ali or Husayn ibn Ali. A tradition by Ja'far al-Sadiq about Yamani ancestry said, "[One] from the lineage of my uncle Zayd will rise from Yemen."

There are different names for Al-Yamani in different traditions, such as "Hassan", "Hussein", "Saeed", "Mansour", and "Nasr". Muhammad, prophet of Islam, called him "Nasr" because he will come before Imam al-Mahdi.

In some sources, Al-Yamani is mentioned as someone who invites people to the Imam al-Mahdi. Additionally, some sources call Al-Yamani "Mansour" and that he will assist Muhammad al-Mahdi in battle.

In Shia theology, five signs are guaranteed to occur before Imam al-Mahdi’s appearance. One of them is the appearance of al-Yamani, the ruler of Yemen, who will invite people to right and truth.

Ja'far al-Sadiq states the five signs that will occur before Imam al-Mahdi's appearance include: the appearance of Sufyani and Yamani, the loud cry in the sky, the murder of Nafs-e-Zakiyyah, and the earth swallowing a group of people in the land of Beyda.

In another Hadith, Muhammad al-Sadiq says that Yamani appears from Yemen with a white flag.

Time and place of the appearanceEdit

Yamani will rise up from Yemen. The sixth Imam of Shia says about the place of uprising, "[t]he rise of the Sufyani will be from Syria (Sham) and the rise of the Yemani will be from Yemen.

But it's impoertant to niotice that two Yamanies are mentioned in Hadith. One rises from Yemen whom wont support the promised Mahdi,but will fight Sufyani and finally die.

And the other one which is not mentioned to be from Yemen, and will support Imam Mahdi.” A Hadith by Muhammad al-Baqir explained, "[t]he appearance of Sufyani, Yamani and Khorasani will take place in one year, one month and one day (at the same time),

they will take place as a series of events that are all connected by one string. Among these individuals the Yamani is the closest to guidance, for he calls the people to join Imam al-Mahdi.

When he rises the trading of weapons will be prohibited for every Muslim. When he rises join him immediately, for his flag is the flag of guidance and prosperity and no Muslim should oppose it.

Any one who does so will go to hell, because the Yamani calls to the right path."[10] In another Hadith, Ali al-Ridha said, "[t]he rise of Sufyani, Yemeni, and Khorasani will be at the same year, month, and day.

Trouble will rise from every direction. Woe to those who try to resist them!" Yamani's appearance will occur during the month of Rajab. Some sources suggest that Yamani and Khurasani will be allied against Sufyani.

While traditions provide few details about the conclusion of Yamani's appearance, a hadith by Muhammad al-Sadiq is said, "[a]fter the numerous wars and failures, he will crush on Sufyani and kill him."

Seyed Khorasani , is an Islamic leader whose rising is an essential part of Islamic eschatology.According to the narration narrated by Fadl Ibn Shazan of Neyshabur, in an authentic document from Imam Sadegh,

Khorasani is one of the townspeople of Samarkand. Rising of Khorasani with the Islamic Black Standard flags is one of the signs of Mahdi's appearance. He is considered amongst the assistants of Mahdi

According to Hadith(s), Seyed Khorasani has a spot on his right hand; and will move to Kufa with Sufyani at one common day. Finally, Khorasani with his army will defeat the army of Sufyani.

from Tha’laba bin Maymoon Abu Iss’haq from Eessa bin A’yun that Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) had said:

“The rising of as-Sufyani is an inevitable matter. He will rise in the month of Rajab. It will take, since his rising until his end, fifteen months.

He will fight for six months. When he conquers the five districts, he will rule for nine months no more no less.”

Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Sa'eed narrated from Ali bin al-Hasan at-Taymali from al-Hasan bin Mahboob from Abu Ayyoob al-Khazzaz from Muhammad bin Muslim that Abu Ja'far al-Baqir had said:

“Fear Allah, be pious and patient before the distresses of life and try your best to obey Allah. The utmost happiness of a faithful is when he thinks of the afterlife and turns his back to this life and its transient pleasures

If one reaches this degree of faith, he will know that he will get bliss, honor and the reward of being in Paradise.

He will feel safe from what he has feared and will be certain that he has been with the truth and those, who oppose his beliefs, are certainly on the wrong path and surely will perish."

Some of his companions said: “What about our families if that occurs?”

He said: “Men are to hide from him (as-Sufyani). His rage is against our followers and women will be safe inshallah.”

It was said to him: “Whereto do men escape from him?”

He said: “Whoever wants to get away is to go to Medina or Mecca or other countries.”

Then he said: “But what do you do in Medina?! His army will attack Medina. You are to go to Mecca. It will be the place of your meeting. It will be a sedition that will not last more than nine months inshallah.”

Muhammad bin Hammam narrated from Ja'far bin Muhammad bin Malik from al-Hasan bin Wahab from Issma'eel bin Abban from Younus bin Abu Ya’foor that Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) had said:

“When as-Sufyani rises, he will send an army to fight us (the Hashemites) and an army to fight you (the Shia). If that takes place, hurry to us by any means

Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Sa'eed narrated from Hameed bin Ziyad from Ali bin as-Sabah bin ad-Dhahak from Abu Ali al-Hasan bin Muhammad al-Hadhrami from Ja'far bin Muhammad

from Ibraheem bin Abdul Hameed from Abu Ayyoob al-Khazzaz from Muhammad bin Muslim that Abu Ja'far al-Baqir (as) had said:

“As-Sufyani is red, blond and blue. He has never worshipped Allah at all. He has seen neither Mecca nor Medina. He says: O my God, I take revenge even if I go to hell! O my God, I take revenge even if I go to Hell!”

So, to not get confused

According to the prophecy, At end of time , there will be evil character known as Al Sufyani whom Al Mahdi will fight against him , Al Mahdi will have helpers; Al Yamani, Al Korasani, Shu'ayb b. Salih, Ruler of Egypt (Sahabi Masr) and others

In some hadiths, his uprising is considered among the signs of the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi .

The hadiths mentioned about Shu'ayb b. Salih, sometimes mention some of his personal characteristics, the manner of his uprising before Imam's reappearance and his standard-bearing upon Imam al-Mahdi's coming.

Personal Characteristics

In hadiths, Shu'ayb b. Salih is described a light-brown-skin, young man with a stubble.He is considered from Banu Tamim or a servant of them.

Manner of Uprising

In hadiths, Shu'ayb b. Salih is introduced as the commander of the uprising of a person from Banu Hashim from Khorasan.

The beginning of the uprising from Khorasan is led by Shu'ayb b. Salih. His uprising is considered from Samarkand, Nishapur,Rey,or Taleqan.

In hadiths, the number of his soldiers is mentioned four thousand. His soldiers hold black flags and wear black cummerbunds and white dresses. They fight with Sufyani in Istakhr and defeat his army and then go to Jerusalem al-Quds.He defeats anyone he fights.

Lemme confess , I really don't know if Shu'ayb b. Salih & Al Korasani are the same person or two persons!!

The uprising of Shu'ayb b. Salih is after the uprising of 'Awf al-Silmi and before the uprising of Sufyani.The period between his uprising and the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi is seventy two months.

Role in the Reappearance of Imam Al Mahdi

As it is mentioned in hadiths, after the army of Shu'ayb b. Salih defeats Sufyani's army, three hundred people join him from Syria and go to Jerusalem al-Quds and prepare the grounds for the reappearance of Imam Al Mahdi.

seventy two months after his uprising, Imam al-Mahdi comes and Shu'ayb b. Salih gives allegiance to him. In some hadiths, he is introduced as the standard-bearer of Imam al-Mahdi.

How can you say to Pharaoh,

what the Lord Almighty has planned against Egypt.

The officials of Zoan have become fools, the leaders of Memphis are deceived;
the cornerstones of her people have led Egypt astray.

The Lord has poured into them a spirit of dizziness;
they make Egypt stagger in all that she does, as a drunkard staggers around in his vomit.
There is nothing Egypt can do— head or tail, palm branch or reed.

In that day the Egyptians will become weaklings.They will shudder with fear at the uplifted hand that the Lord Almighty raises against them.

And the land of Judah will bring terror to the Egyptians; everyone to whom Judah is mentioned will be terrified, because of what the Lord Almighty is planning against them.

In that day five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord Almighty. One of them will be called the City of the Sun

In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the heart of Egypt, and a monument to the Lord at its border.

It will be a sign and witness to the Lord Almighty in the land of Egypt. When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them.

So the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and in that day they will acknowledge the Lord. They will worship with sacrifices and grain offerings; they will make vows to the Lord and keep them

The Lord will strike Egypt with a plague; he will strike them and heal them. They will turn to the Lord, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them."

"In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria.

The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together.  In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The Lord Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”

Contradictions to prophecies for Egypt:

There is another point of view reveals that non of the prophecies for Egypt are true/ or shall be happened , depending on the fact that Egypt has many enemies as it had been master of the world at ancient times

four horsemen of the apocalypse, in Christianity, the four horsemen who, according to the book of Revelation (6:1–8), appear with the opening of the first four of the seven seals that bring forth the cataclysm of the apocalypse.

The first horseman, a conqueror with a bow and crown, rides a white horse, which scholars sometimes interpret to symbolize Christ or the Antichrist;

the second horseman is given a great sword and rides a red horse, symbolizing war and bloodshed;

the third carries a balance scale, rides a black horse, and symbolizes famine;

and the fourth horseman rides a pale horse and is identified as Death.

The Christian apocalyptic vision is that the Four Horsemen are to set a divine apocalypse upon the world as harbingers of the Last Judgment

"Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder,

"Come." I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer."

Appearance

Based on the above passage, a common translation into English, the rider of the White Horse (sometimes referred to as the White Rider) He carries a bow, and wears a victor's crown.

In Revelation 6, the rider has just one crown given, not taken, indicating a third person giving authority to the rider to accomplish his work.

As an Infectious Disease (Pestilence or Plague)

Under another interpretation, the first Horseman is called Pestilence, and is associated with infectious disease and plague. It appears at least as early as 1906, when it is mentioned in the Jewish Encyclopedia.

The interpretation is common in popular culture references to the Four Horsemen.

The origin of this interpretation is unclear. Some translations of the Bible mention "plague" (e.g. the NIV) or "pestilence" (e.g. the RSV) in connection with the riders in the passage following the introduction of the fourth rider;

"They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." (Revelation 6:7-8 NASB). However, it is a matter of debate as to whether this passage refers to the first rider, or to the four riders as a whole.

Symbollic of the Lamb

Irenaeus, an influential Christian theologian of the 2nd century, was among the first to interpret this Horseman as Christ himself, his white horse representing the successful spread of the gospel.

Various scholars have since supported this notion, citing the later appearance, in Revelation 19, of Christ mounted on a white horse, appearing as The Word of God.

Furthermore, earlier in the New Testament, the Book of Mark indicates that the advance of the gospel may indeed precede and foretell the apocalypse. The color white also tends to represent righteousness in the Bible, and Christ is in other instances portrayed as a conqueror.

However, opposing interpretations argue that the first of the Four Horsemen is probably not the horseman of Revelation 19.

They are described in significantly different ways, and Christ's role as the Lamb who opens the seven seals makes it unlikely that he would also be one of the forces released by the seals.

It must also be noted that while the rider of the white horse wields a bow and wears a single crown, Christ rides forth with a sword, wearing many diadems.

"The second Horseman, War on the Red Horse as depicted in a thirteenth-century Apocalypse manuscript.

When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come." And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth,

and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him."

The rider of the second horse is often taken to represent War The second Horseman may represent civil war as opposed to the war of conquest that the first Horseman is sometimes said to bring.

Other commentators have suggested that it might also represent the persecution of Christians.

Appearance

He is often pictured holding a sword upwards as though ready for battle or mass slaughter.His horse's color is red and in some translations, the color is specifically a "fiery" red πυρρός, from πῦρ, fire).

The color red, as well as the rider's possession of a great sword, suggests blood that is to be spilled. The sword held upward by the second Horseman may represent war or a declaration of war, as seen in heraldry.

In military symbolism, swords held upward, especially crossed swords held upward, signify war and entering into battle.

Famine on a Black Horse

"When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.

And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; but do not damage the oil and the wine."

— Revelation 6:5-6 NASB

Appearance

The third Horseman rides a black horse and is popularly understood to be Famine as the Horseman carries a pair of balances or weighing scales, indicating the way that bread would have been weighed during a famine.

Other authors interpret the third Horseman as the "Lord as a Law-Giver" holding Scales of Justice.

In the passage, it is read that the indicated price of grain is about ten times normal (thus the famine interpretation popularity), with an entire day's wages (a denarius) buying enough wheat for only one person,

or enough of the less nutritious barley for three, so that workers would struggle to feed their families.

Sparing the Oil and Wine

Of the Four Horsemen, the black horse and its rider are the only ones whose appearance is accompanied by a vocal pronunciation. John hears a voice, unidentified but coming from among the four living creatures,

that speaks of the prices of wheat and barley, also saying "and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine".

The black horse rider is instructed not to harm the oil and the wine which signifies that this scarcity should not fall upon the superfluities, such as oil and wine, which men can live without, but upon the necessities of life—bread.

This suggests that the black horse's famine is to drive up the price of grain but leave oil and wine supplies unaffected (though out of reach of the ordinary worker).

One explanation for this is that grain crops would have been more naturally susceptible to famine years or locust plagues than olive trees and grapevines, which root more deeply.

The statement might also suggest a continuing abundance of luxuries for the wealthy while staples, such as bread, are scarce, though not totally depleted

Such selective scarcity may result from injustice and the deliberate production of luxury crops for the wealthy over grain, as would have happened during the time Revelation was written.

Alternatively, the preservation of oil and wine could symbolize the preservation of the Christian faithful, who used oil and wine in their sacraments.

Death on a Pale Horse

"When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come." I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death;

and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth."

The fourth and final Horseman is named Death. Known as "Θάνατος/Thanatos", of all the riders, he is the only one to whom the text itself explicitly gives a name.

The Greek word for plague is θανάτῳ, which is a variation of Θάνατος, indicating a connection between the Fourth Horseman and plague

This fourth, pale horse, was the personification of Death with Hades following him jaws open receiving the victims slain by Death.

The verse beginning "they were given power over a fourth of the earth" is generally taken as referring to Death and Hades,although some commentators see it as applying to all four horsemen.

Its commission was to kill all upon the earth as one of the four judgements of God—with sword, famine,pestilence and wild beasts. As for the wild beasts of the earth, according to Edward Bishop Elliott,

it is a well-known law of nature that they quickly occupy the scenes of waste and depopulation—where the reign of man fails and the reign of beasts begins.

Appearance

Unlike the other three, he is not described carrying a weapon or other object, instead he is followed by Hades (the resting place of the dead). However, illustrations commonly depict him carrying a scythe (like the Death), sword, or other implement.

The color of Death's horse is written as khlōros (χλωρός) in the original Koine Greek, which can mean either green/greenish-yellow or pale/pallid.

The color is often translated as "pale", though "ashen", "pale green", and "yellowish green" are other possible interpretations (the Greek word is the root of "chlorophyll" and "chlorine").

Based on uses of the word in ancient Greek medical literature, several scholars suggest that the color reflects the sickly pallor of a corpse. In some modern artistic depictions, the horse is distinctly green.

Modern Depictions

Vicente Blasco Ibáñez, in his 1916 novel The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (filmed in 1921 and in 1962), provides an early example of this interpretation,

writing "The horseman on the white horse was clad in a showy and barbarous attire. ... While his horse continued galloping, he was bending his bow in order to spread pestilence abroad.

At his back swung the brass quiver filled with poisoned arrows, containing the germs of all diseases."

1.  The appearance of Kalki Avatar of Vishnu

It is said in the Srimad Bhagavatam that during the end of the Kali-yuga the incarnation or avatar of Vishnu will arrive on the Earth.

In Hinduism, it is believed that there are four yugas namely Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dvapara Yuga, and Kali Yuga. These four cycles rotate just like our calendar months.

It is said that the present age is the Kali Yuga and it will last for 432000 years. It is believed that we have already passed 5000 years from the battle of Kurukshetra.

That means there are still 427000 years left and it is said in Srimad Bhagavatam the Hindu god Kalki will arrive at the end of the Kali-yuga.

It is also said that the father of Kalki would be Visnu Yasa. His father would be a learned Brahmana. In Srimad Bhagavatam, it is said that Kalki will appear in the home of Visnu Yasa.

2.  Reason for appearing of Vishnu as Kalki in the Kali Yuga

As per Vedic civilization, it was said that Vishnu was once cursed by saint Bhrigu.

It was said that Asuras once took the shelter in the ashram of Maharishi Bhrigu. One day when Sukracharya and Maharishi Bhrigu was at his ashram the Devtas and Indra took the chance to attack the Asuras who were unarmed at that time.

The Asuras escaped and ran to the wife of sage Bhrigu for shelter whose name was Kavyamata. During that time, Kavyamata immobilized Indra with the help of her Yogic powers and thus she could safeguard the Ashuras.

Indra and other Devtas immediately went to Vishnu for his help. Later, Vishnu used his Sudarshana Chakra cut down the head of Kavyamata for saving asuras and immobilising Indra and other devatas.

When sage Bhrigu returned and saw the devastating condition of his wife he got very furious on Vishnu and cursed him that he will bear on the earth for several times and suffer the pain of the death of near and dear ones.

It is due to this curse of Maharishi Bhrigu Vishnu had to appear on Earth again and again and whenever he arrives on the earth he destroys the evil on the earth.

It is believed that Vishnu will appear for the last time as Kalki during the end of Kali-yuga when evil will be rampant upon the earth and will restore peacefulness by killing all evils.

3.  Nostradamus prediction on Kalki:

Nostradamus was a great astrologer and whatever he had predicted has always become true.

According to his prediction, it was found that a person will bear with immense power will bear in the world whose holy day will be Thursday and he will rule in the whole world on both land and sea.

It is said that the main mission of Kalki to appear on the earth would be to destroy Koli which would signify an evil person.

The main motive of Kalki would be to destroy all barbarians and thieves from the earth and make the earth peaceful place to live in.

Apart from that, it is also said that Kalki would defeat the Kings called to Koli and hand over the rule to Devapi and Maru the religious king of Koli yugas.

It is believed that Kalki will descend to earth during Baisakha month. It is usually said that Kalki will appear on the earth on the 12th day after the full moon day.

"What if I told you there was once an ancient religion whose God was conceived by a virgin named Meri and had a stepfather named Seb (Joseph)? What if I told you this God was born in a cave and his birth was announced by an angel, heralded by a star and attended by shepherds?

He attended a special rite of passage at the age of twelve (although the ancient texts describing this God are silent about His life from the age of 12 to 30).

At 30 years of age, this God was baptized in a river (His baptizer was later beheaded). He had 12 disciples, performed miracles, exorcized demons, raised someone from the dead, and even walked on water. They called Him “Iusa”, the “ever-becoming son”

and the “Holy Child”. He delivered a “Sermon on the Mount”, and his followers recounted his sayings. He was transfigured on a mount and eventually crucified between two thieves. He was buried for three days in a tomb and rose from the dead.

His followers called Him “Way”, “the Truth the Light”, “Messiah”, “God’s Anointed Son”, “Son of Man”, “Good Shepherd”, “Lamb of God”, “Word made flesh”, “Word of Truth”, “the KRST” or “Anointed One”.

He was also known as “the Fisher” and was associated with the Fish, Lamb and Lion. According to this ancient religion, this God came to fulfill the Law and was supposed to reign one thousand years.

Sounds a lot like Jesus doesn’t it? According to those who deny the existence of Jesus, however, this description is of a mythological precursor to Christianity, the Egyptian God named Horus.

Skeptics sometimes use ancient deities like Horus, Mithras or Osiris as examples of dying and rising precursors to Jesus. They claim the mythology of Jesus was simply borrowed from pre-existing examples such as these.

Was Horus really like Jesus in all the ways skeptics often describe him? These similarities are startling. For many Christians (especially young believers who encounter this objection while in college) similarities such as these cast doubt on the historicity of Jesus.

It’s important, therefore, to examine the truth of these claims to see what the real mythologies tell us about characters such as Horus.

While it’s true there are a number of pre-Christian mythologies with dying saviors, they aren’t much like Jesus once you start to examine them closely.

They often merely reflect the expectations and yearnings of ancient people for the God who truly did come to earth. A significant portion of what we just described about Horus is simply false and lacks any Egyptian historical or archeological support whatsoever.

Much of what I described about Horus is simply a reflection of the effort of atheists to make Horus look as much like Jesus as possible.

Denying or proving the similarities between Jesus & Hours wouldn't change the fact that in our modern times, there are strong believers (they are thousands around the world) of Hours return to the earth to spread justice & end the misery of the poor & oppressed people

According to Shia beliefs;
Heavenly Cry  is among the signs before the Reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi . This call is made by Gabriel and will be heard from the sky.

The message in this call has been mentioned in different ways: giving glad news about the Reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi , his description, and the rightfulness of Shi'a. At the end of the same day, Satan will try to make doubts in people using a similar call.

Hadiths regarding the Heavenly Cry are mutawatir, but they have mentioned different times for it.

Coverage

This call made by Gabriel will be heard by all people, so that anyone will hear it in his own language. Most hadiths have mentioned sky as the place of broadcasting this call.

One of its attributes is that it will be heard equally from near and far; it will wake up the asleep and scares people;it will bring the faithful mercy and will bring disbelievers pain and from then, the name of Imam al-Mahdi will be distributed among people.

Time

Narrations about the time of the Heavenly Cry are different and have caused different reactions among scholars.

Before the Reappearance

According to the views of most scholars, Heavenly Cry will happen in Ramadan of the year before the Reappearance.

Their justification is a hadith from Imam al-Baqir  who said,

"That call will not rise other than in the month of Ramadan; … A caller from sky will mentioned the name of al-Qa'im and anyone in east and the west will hear it."

Upon the Reappearance

Form some hadiths, it can be understood that the Heavenly Cry will happen upon the Reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi . In these narrations, the happening of the Heavenly Cry coincides with the uprising of Imam .

Al-Shaykh al-Mufid has mentioned this coincidence in a hadith from the Prophet (s).

"When the uprising of the Upriser approaches, a caller from sky will call, 'O people! The time of oppressors has come to end and one who is responsible to make it done is the best of the people of Muhammad (s), so take yourself to Mecca.'"

According to another hadith, toward the Reappearance, in the month of Ramadan, and in some other in the month of Rajab Gabriel will call the name of Imam al-Mahdi (a) and the name of his father and says,

"Behold that the Proof of God (hujjat Allah) appeared beside the House of God. Obey him, for truth is with him and in him. He is the Upriser of the family of Muhammad (s); the best of his people; your commander and ruler.

This is al-Mahdi (a) who will judge in the manner of David (a) and Solomon (a) and would not ask for witness and testimony. So what is all the war and bloodshed for? Listen to him and follow his orders.

Know that the right belongs to Ali (a), the family of the Prophet (s) and their followers. Ali (a) and his followers are the saved ones. O people of the world! The time of oppressors has come to the end."

Message

In most narrations, the message of this call has been said to be introducing Imam al-Mahdi with his name and attributes.

Also, in some narrations, the message of this call has been mentioned to be declaration of the rightfulness of Imam Ali and the salvation of his followers.

Call of Satan

Beside narrations related with the Heavenly Cry, some narrations suggest that toward the end of the same day,

Satan will also make a call, the purpose of which is making doubts in people for following Imam al-Mahdi ,

"Behold that the right is with 'Uthman b. 'Affan and his followers. He was killed being oppressed; so, rise to his revenge and know that rights belong to al-Sufyani and his followers and 'Uthman and his followers will be salvaged."With this call, some will become doubtful.

In other narrations, the message of Satan's call has been said to be inviting people to Christianity.

Some believe that Satan will also make some calls and each time tries to mislead people. They have deemed it possible that makers of these call would be people who do it following Satan's deception

Novel Interpretations

Regardless of the many narrations, some writers have tried to interpret this sign in agreement with new technologies and today advances in sciences as satellites. This justification has not been approved by religious scholars due to lack of its evidences

Note: from my personal readings, I got to know that many people believe that
#Ramadan2022 is the year of Heavenly Cry , the first major sign of appearance of Imam Al Mahdi!

Murder of al-Nafs al-Zakiyya

His Name and Teknonym

Al-Nafs al-Zakiyya is the title of a person called Muhammad b. al-Hasan. He is called "al-Nafs al-Zakiyya" (the Pure Soul) in hadiths because of his asceticism and worships.

He is from the progeny of Imam al-Husayn (a), and is thus a Husayni sayyid.

Decisiveness of the Sign

The event of the murder of the Pure Soul is said in hadiths to be decisive, which implies its significance.

The event has been variously characterized in hadiths as "inevitable", "there is no way that it cannot happen" and "[the Imam] does not start the uprising until [this event]".

The decisiveness is emphasized in Humran b. A'yan's hadith from Imam al-Sadiq along with other decisive signs of the Reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (such as the Heavenly Cry, Sufyani's Riot, Yamani's Riot and Khasf al-Bayda').

Task of al-Nafs al-Zakiyya

As implied by hadiths, the task of the Pure Soul is to deliver messages to the Imam .

After the Reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi and the global announcement of the Reappearance by a Heavenly Cry, he tells his companions that people of Mecca do not want him although he is sent to guide them;

thus, a person just like me should tell them so that they receive the ultimatum. He asks one of his companions to tell people of Mecca that he was sent by al-Mahdi who wants to tell them:

"we are People of the House of Mercy and the Treasure of Prophethood and Caliphate, and I am from the progeny of Muhammad and his offspring. We were oppressed and displaced by people, and since the demise of the Prophet until today, our right was usurped.

Now we expect and ask for your help. So help us. When the messenger will start talking, people of Mecca will attack and decapitate him."

Time and Place of the Murder of al-Nafs al-Zakiyya

The murder of the Pure Soul is going to happen after the Reappearance and fifteen days before Imam al-Mahdi's uprising.

Al-Shaykh al-Saduq cited a hadith with a chain of transmitters up to Imam al-Sadiq  according to which, there will only be fifteen nights between the uprising of the Qa'im of the Family of Muhammad and the murder of the Pure Soul.

According to a hadith from Imam al-Baqir , the murder is going to occur in al-Masjid al-Haram between the Rukn and Maqam of Ibrahim.

Al-Nafs al-Zakiyya has a brother who is also going to be martyred in Mecca.

'Ammar b. Yasir is quoted as saying that when al-Nafs al-Zakiyya and his brother are murdered, an angel close to God will cry: "al-Mahdi is your emir and your guardian and he is the one who fills the Earth with righteousness and justice".

Similar Cases

Supporters of Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah al-Mahḍ (d. 145/762) appealed to certain hadiths to identify him as al-Nafs al-Zakiyya.

He is different from al-Nafs al-Zakiyya who, according to other hadiths, is going to be martyred behind Kufa together with seventy helpers of his.

Some contemporary authors have identified the latter with Muhammad Baqir al-Hakim and his helpers who were martyred in Najaf (which is behind Kufa).

Among the major signs are: The Sufyani will come out in revolt; the Hasanid will be killed; the Abbasids will dispute over worldly kingdom; there will be an eclipse of the sun in the middle of the month of Ramadan;

there will be an eclipse of the moon at the end of that month in contrast to ordinary happenings; the land will be swallowed up at al-Bayda';

it will be swallowed in the east-it will be swallowed up in the west; the sun will stay still from the time of its decline to the middle of the time for the afternoon prayer.

It will rise from the west; a pure soul (nafs al-zakiyya) will be killed in the outskirts of Kufa with seventy righteous men; a Hashimite will be slaughtered between the corner (of the Ka'ba) and the station of Abraham);

the wall of the mosque of Kufa will be destroyed; black standards will advance from Khurasan; al-Yamani will come out in revolt; al-Maghribi will appear in Egypt and take possession of it from Syria.

The Turk will occupy the region of al-Jazira; the Byzantines will occupy Ramla; the star will appear in the east giving light just like the moon gives light; then (the new moon) will bend until its two tips almost meet;

a colour will appear in the sky and spread to its horizons; a fire will appear for a long time in the east remaining in the air for three or seven days; the Arabs will throw off the reins and take possession of their land, throwing out the foreign authority;

the people of E gypt will kill their ruler and destroy Syria; and three standards will dispute over it (Syria).
