Must-read on the relationship between Zelensky and the Ukrainian far right. These forces would not let him make peace in the East. Think of the relationship between McFaul types and Biden, radicals are driving the conflict. thegrayzone.com/2022/03/04/naz…
“But as we will see, Zelensky has not only ceded ground to the neo-Nazis in his midst, he has entrusted them with a front line role in his country’s war against pro-Russian and Russian forces.”
Ukraine is a “democracy” where Nazi gangs shoot at members of political parties, meet with the Jewish president, and openly advertise their services to beat your opponents up on your behalf.
A leader honored by Zelensky jokes about feeding his wolf the bones of Russian children.

The entire strategy of the government of Ukraine revolves around bringing the West into a larger war. One can sympathize with them, but they're the least reliable source of information in the world right now.
Thread. I hope people will wake up to the danger here.
Time for NATO is now trending based on this fake news. From their profiles it appears to be a lot of people who have grifted off of other causes that have caused mass hysteria on social media.
I explain here why yes, foreign policy elites are worse than Putin, and other "bad guys". Those who at least have self-interested reasons for doing bad things are not as evil or dangerous as those who do much more damage for no rational reason at all. richardhanania.substack.com/p/why-a-multip…
China or Russia is like a guy who might get mad at his neighbor and burn down his house. US foreign policy elite is like a guy who picks a random neighborhood blocks away, destroys it, tries to remake its culture, and then starves it when he fails. Crazier, so more dangerous.
Now that the invasion has started, American elites will try to support an insurgency and inflict as much damage on Ukraine as possible. The more damage they inflict, the better they'll feel about themselves. A class that thinks like this need to lose power.
Some real broad "expertise" on Eastern Europe here.
I am judging her not by the color of her skin, but by the content of her CV, which would be just as absurd if it belonged to a white person, if not more so. But this is what modern "experts" who call themselves experts do.
It’s harmful to expect students of color to live in a country they study. She lacks the “emotional bandwidth” to live in Moscow. Interesting scholarly perspective.
“alleges that Moscow’s post-invasion planning would involve torture, forced disappearances and ‘widespread human suffering.’ It does not describe the nature of the intelligence.” So they’re planning “disappearances” and “suffering”? Sounds credible. washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
Putin going to target “LGBTQI+ persons.” Looks like he’s not stopping at T, going all the way to +!
Americans make fun of the crudity of Russian propaganda. They have no right to.
“While LGBTQ advocates have credited Ukraine’s progress in improving the status of LGBTQ individuals in recent years, they say it has more work to do.”
Thread of clips from my conversation with @hsu_steve. On Russian advances in hypersonic missiles.
What would a war with Russia in Europe look like? "I don't think there's any way they're going to defend NATO headquarters if the Russians want to take it out with a missile...Same thing with supply and fuel, stockpiles in Western Europe, the main ports."
“The theory in the Cold War was you weren’t going to match Russians man-to-man...What the US had was nuclear weapons...What you’re telling me is that Russia still has the manpower advantage in Europe, it also has an overwhelming advantage in the air..through its missile systems”
I talked to @hsu_steve about tensions in Eastern Europe, Russian and Chinese military technology, the rise of China, and his work on IVF. A fascinating guy, and an important conversation on a wide range of topics. richardhanania.substack.com/p/the-future-o…
On the importance of Russian hypersonic missiles. The US has even less leverage than it believes in the Ukraine crisis. We both share the concern that American leaders are once again sleepwalking into disaster, this time with even graver consequences than before.
On how a potential Chinese assault on Taiwan might go.
