Devastation surrounds us in Irpin, just northwest of Kyiv, the scene of heavy fighting this morning as civilians continue to flee across the river on foot
Civilians make their way across the destroyed bridge in Irpin assisted by Ukrainian soldiers and Territorial Defence Volunteers. A few brave drivers are driving back into the fighting to shuttle IDPs to safety 
Many women & children among those forced to make the perilously dangerous journey on foot across an active frontline while shelling erupts across the town.

Utterly horrifying scenes here in Irpin. The body of a man is left lying on the road in front of the bridge, the volunteers have deemed it too dangerous to attempt to move his body just yet.
Several kilometres south of Irpin ambulances and buses wait to shuttle the wounded and evacuated IDPs away from Irpin and towards Kyiv
Civilian infrastructure, including an Orthodox Church, have been damaged heavily by the fighting here. Nobody should believe the Kremlin’s lies, they are murdering women, children and the elderly on these streets.
