Are you as worried as I am about the increased dose of bad news we get these days?
If you are, do something about it before the constant feed of negativity drains the positivity in and around you.
1/
Several bad things are happening in our world today, far too much not to take notice. They are most times the highlight of the #VUCA times.
But there are so many good things happening too! However, they get less time on the airwaves.
2/
Instead of focusing on the apparent ills of our world, let's find the pockets of good around us and celebrate them.
For every dose of bad news you take (we can't escape it in a digital world), find two to four doses of good news to take.
3/
Balancing the good with the bad gives you the best chance to stay on top of things, in the most realistic way possible, in these volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous times.
4/
Good and evil will continue to happen in the world around us, the best that we can do in the battle between good and evil is to make a choice to be the good actors, and choose to dwell on the good, not the evil.
5/
If you're wondering who the good actors are, think about Nelson Mandela's thought on what it means to be free, "For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."
6/
You're a good actor when you live in a way that respects and enhance the freedom of others.
To stay positive and share the light of positivity in an increasingly hostile world:
- choose to be a good actor, and
- choose to dwell on the good, not the evil.
