The Proceeds of Crime Act not only applies to the persons concerned in the original offence that realizes a benefit, but also allows action to be taken against those who assist after its commission in relation to the proceeds.

The period also saw US$207,201.00, CAN$17,450.00 forfeited to the Crown under #POCA. Additionally, the Customs Act provides the #JCA with the capability to apply the relevant penalties for non-compliance, where applicable.

In addition to providing general guidance and information in the investigation process, #FID has also been instrumental in undertaking matters which were previously placed before the Civil Court but for which forfeiture was not granted.
