Diluc stared dumbly at the pregnancy test he held in his hand, his mouth agape with utter surprise. The pink little cross had appeared...he was officially pregnant after weeks of suspicion.

It should have been impossible after his first miracle pregnancy.

Caelus was the beautiful result of a 3 year long journey of visiting fertility doctors and taking nearly every medicine under the sun, for the hope to conceive. It was a painful battle, and the actual pregnancy was just as brutal as the birth...but it was worth it.

Caelus was a young a man. Nearing 15, but Diluc still thought of him as his little baby who liked to smash blueberries into his mouth and sang to the birds when he thought no one was looking. Him and Kaeya were content to have a single child if that was all they were allowed.

Diluc had never thought of pregnancy after Caelus, but now...his hand settled on his stomach when he casted his gaze downwards with a small smile. Tears of happiness cascading down his cheeks. "We're so lucky to have you here..."

There was a sudden knock on his bedroom door. "Mama?" Caelus voice filtered through. "Are you okay? You've been in there for almost an hour..." Diluc weakly wiped his tears away, and tried to calm the redness of his cheeks with some water. "I'll be there soon!" He called out.

Caelus seemed to hesitant, but he heard his son retreat after a few seconds. Diluc sighed in relief. Just as protective as his father. He paused at the thought of Kaeya. His husband would be estastic at the thought of having another child. Diluc had always felt guilty

of not being able to provide a bigger family for Kaeya, but his husband never let him think in that way. He reassured Diluc constantly that he was completely happy with their family, and that his happiness wasn't dependent on how many kids his wife popped out. As long as they

were safe and content, that was all that mattered. Diluc seriously hit the jackpot with Kaeya.

The rest of the day went by slow. Caelus knew something was up with how pensive Diluc looked. While he was on cloud nine, he did have

some reservations. His pregnancy with Caelus was...traumatizing to say the least. It was the most pain he had ever been in, and that was saying a lot considering his past. The birth went worst, and they all throught for a moment he wasn't going to make it.

The first few months of Caelus' life was complete chaos as well. He was quite the attached child, and seemed to be never satisfied with anything. Diluc cried just as much in the beginning as his newborn, maybe more. Kaeya was his anchor through it all, and he knew the man

wished he could have done more. Diluc was older now, and he was afraid this pregnancy would be even more difficult. But, he would willingly go through all the pain again for his child. It was all worth it, but it didn't lessen the dread of being miserable for months.

He didn't have same energy levels either. Keeping up with a toddler required serious stamina, and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to accommodate all of his child's needs as he was entering his 40s. Not that he was a old man yet, but he certainly didn't have the

nimble body of 25 year old and endless fuel to keep him going through the long nights.

Dinner was a quiet affair, just him and Caelus. Kaeya had been detained with some Commander affairs, and would be late, but neither of them were bothered by it. Though Diluc was impatient

to talk to Kaeya. He couldn't keep this secret much longer.

"How would you feel about a sibling, Cae?" Diluc asked gently. He hardly touched his roasted chicken. It made him nauseous.

His son raised a brow, "Um...fine I suppose. Happy even."

Diluc nodded his head, but didn't speak further. Caelus fiddled with his fork before speaking again, "You're pregnant, arent you?" A smile beginning to life the corner of his lips.

Diluc chuckled, "I didn't disguise that very well, did I?"

"No. And neither your morning sickness or how you hate the taste of chicken and turkey, and your midnight snacks."

Diluc blinked, "Not even your father has noticed all that."

Caelus shrugged. "Papa is weirdly blind when it comes to you. He just sees the good."

Diluc grinned to himself with rosy cheeks. "So I've heard."

"Are you going to tell him tonight?"

"I think I will..." He trailed off.

Caelus could still sense his hesitation,"Are you not happy about it, mama?"

He immediately shook his head, "No, I'm practically giddy to think I have the chance to raise another child...I just didn't expect to do it again after so long. There are other things to consider, but nothing for you to worry about."

Caelus hummed with a soft smile, and

reached over to peck his mama’s cheek. It never failed to make Diluc radiate with joy. He truly loved his son more than anything, and he would do the same for the baby he was growing. "I'm sure you and papa will figure it out. I'll be here now to help too."

Truly, so lucky.

Kaeya arrived home just past midnight. Diluc stayed up to talk with his husband and catch up on his day. He never liked to go to bed without at least talking for a bit. His husband was aging like fine wine as he admired him by the glow of the fire.

The contours of his body were illuminated brilliantly, and Diluc could spy the fine lines etched around his eyes and mouth from the years of laughter. He still remembered the swaggering Captain from years ago, and he still was all charming, but...

he softened since becoming a father. Parenthood changed everyone, including Diluc.

"What is that you're admiring so intently, firefly?" Kaeya asked with a smirk, pouring himself some wine from the decanter.

"You." He replied immediately.

Diluc would have cringed years ago from his straightforward answer, but now, there was nothing to he embarrassed about after nearly 20 years of marriage. But that didn't mean Kaeya never flustered him like he did now.

"Are you trying to charm me into bed, Luc? I do love it when you act so brazen."

Diluc covered his blush by sipping on his own glass of grape juice. At least his taste for his favorite drink hadn't changed, unlike the first pregnancy. "I wouldn't need to charm you.

All I need to do is look at you, and you're ready to go. Your virility has not changed since we were teenagers." He finished with a taunting smile of his own.

Kaeya tipped his head back with a full bellied laugh, and it warmed Diluc's chest to see him so carefree.

"That you are right about, love." Kaeya sauntered toward him, and placed his glass on the coffee table to kneel on one leg in front of Diluc. The man took his hand and placed several kisses along his fingers, palm, and wrist, intending to travel up his arm.

"Shall we put it to the test, love?" He grinned up at him, and he was very tempted to take him on his offer but he held himself back for now.

"We need to talk first. I have...important news." He murmured. Kaeya raised a brow and leaned back a bit, but kept their hands together

"I'm listening."

Diluc had to fight to keep his idiotic grin from overtaking his face. The rush of sharing such news was overwhelming just like the first time, maybe even more so now. "I haven't feeling my best lately, and I thought maybe it was just a stomach bug.

But I noticed more and more symptoms, so I took a test today and...I'm very much pregnant with our second child, Kaeya." He finished with the bright flush of excitement on his cheeks.

Kaeya looked just as shocked as him in the morning. "Seriously? You...you didn't even take

all that medicine this time! You're telling me it just...happened?" His gaze immediately casted down to Diluc's stomach and reached forward to place a hand on what would soon be a small swell. "We're having another baby?" He held the same look of wonderment all those years ago.

Such a boyish expression that held absolute glee and adoration that his past worries were slowly melting away. "Yes, we're really having another baby, dear husband of mine." He uttered with utmost fondness. Kaeya laughed another jovial sound, and immediately hauled Diluc

up into a bear hug. Diluc huffed in amusement but wrapped his arms around Kaeya's shoulders with equal force. He buried his face in the crook of his neck to hide the glistening of his eyes. He hated being so easily emotional when pregnant.

They held each for several minutes, Kaeya murmuring sweet nothings into his ears as he gently ran his hands along his back. He was always the most content in Kaeya's arms. "A baby...I honestly can't believe we get another little bundle of joy." Diluc hummed in agreement.

"I guess my virility only gets better as I age." He added moments later, and this time it was Diluc's turn to laugh without restraint. His eyes were burning bright with love that he held for his husband.

"You goof." And he kissed him square on the mouth. "I love you."

"I love you, sunshine." Kaeya replied against his lips, pressing another chaste kiss to his lips. "I hope it's easier for you this time..." He said with a slight frown. Kaeya held the same worries as him, but he knew they would be just fine.

"I hope so, too...but whatever happens, we'll get another baby out of it and it's the best outcome I could ever think of." He said, cupping Kaeya's face and caressing the scar that extended to the highpoint of his cheek.

Kaeya's arms tightened around him. "And you know I'll always be there, every step of the way."

Diluc sniffed gently, absolutely bursting with love. "I know... And I love you for that." He wasn't good with words, but it seemed Kaeya heard everything he needed to hear.
