At least 2,298 former and current scholars, alumni and faculty of the Philippine Science High School endorse VP Leni Robredo to be the next president, in yet another display of her unique ability to shore up broad sectoral support.
Jillian, Robredo's youngest, is from Pisay.
List of signatories too long but true to form, the Pisay community also included charts of the signatory breakdown in their statement. Most came from Bicol and Cagayan Valley campuses.
In endorsing Robredo, the community said they hoped to honor the many Pisay martyrs who gave up their lives during martial law, when the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos cracked down on student leaders and activists to quell dissent.
"Bilang komunidad ng at para sa mga Iskolar ng Bayan, pinapakita namin ang kahusayan ng aming isip at puso sa pamamagitan ng pagtindig para sa katotohanan tungkol sa panahon ng batas militar, at para pigilan ang anak ng pinatalsik na diktador, na nagpakasasa sa nakaw na yaman."

In strongly worded statement, VP Leni Robredo pushes back vs false texts blasts alleging she plans on forming a coalition govt with the CPP: "Para klaro: kasinungalingan ito. Ang mga talagang kilala ako, alam na hindi ako naniniwala sa dahas para solusyonan ang anumang problema."
Robredo: Once and for all: Kaliwa, kanan, taas, baba, lahat handa tayong pakinggan — basta tapat, mapayapa, at handang magtrabaho para iangat ang buhay ng Pilipino.
Despite Vice President Leni Robredo's fears that nobody would show up here, thousands of Kakampinks turned up at her Grand Rally here in Isabela province.
Certainly smaller than her previous ones, but could signal cracks in the Solid North vote.
Megastar Sharon Cuneta now here to introduce her husband, VP candidate Kiko Pangilinan. "Hindi po namin inexpect na ganito ang sasalubong sa amin sa Isabela. Ganito pala magmahal ang mga Ilokano dito."
VP aspirant Kiko Pangilinan now takes the stage after a brief kiss from his wife.
Exhorts them to comb through each street, home, to convince more ppl: Ano ang nakataya ngayong Mayo? Buhay ang nakataya, hanapbuhay, edukasyon. Kaya dapat pipiliin natin ang karapat-dapat
In Marcos’ “Solid North,” pink gushes through the cracks.
Supporters of VP Leni Robredo await her on her hustings across Cagayan and Isabela. They're not here just to woo Marcos voters, but to see the “Kakampinks” who dare wade against the north’s political current.#VotePH
The odds are hugely against her here. Unlike her last stop, Negros Occidental (which she won by a landslide in 2016), she lost massively in Cagayan (53,877 votes to Marcos’ 574,467) and Isabela (86,862 to 504,463). #VotePH
The political families of Cagayan and Isabela have already endorsed Marcos for the 2022 elections. But her supporters here have been moving silently. In fact, it was her Isabela Kakampinks who first opposed the Comelec’s arbitrary removal of Leni-Kiko posters on private property.
