I have what are considered multiple disabilities, yet I am ableist apparently. This thread TLDR: I state I'm glad I used the extra time stuck at home during covid closures to teach my son and myself to garden, since food prices are on the rise. They start with super rude 1/
Statements implying that we are awful because they had to work during covid and couldn't garden. Whole thread is this person accusing and attacking abt privilege. I stated that maybe they would have more time for things like gardening if they weren't on Twitter attacking folks 2/
Now I'm accused of being ableist because I suggest gardening to someone I'm supposed to know is disabled. This is the problem: we can't claim to want to be SEEN as different but not LESS THAN, then pull the disabled card on folks that have no way of knowing we are differently 3/
Abled...
I said as such, and now I'm the disabled ableist asshole because, well, I'm still not sure wtf this person is upset Abt: working, gardening, life in general, teaching my toddler life skill, etc. 4/
Point is: Many disabilities, like most of mine are invisible, I don't expect anyone to know my challenges until I'm clear about it. Ableism isn't about having a pity party for ourselves, people that do set the whole disabled community back. = ≠ pulling disabled card

A THREAD:
Can't get over how this whole genocide is a macro example of how coercive control/abuse turns into deadly violence. 1st they get you to alienate or withdraw from those around you, make false promises, make you believe you can trust them. Then... 1/4
Comes the gaslighting, the fake stories to everyone around you to make you seem irrational, then when you or anyone begins to question them they get physical. Now, they try and convince you it isn't their fault(someone else made them do it), let's just talk it out, they say: 2/4
If only YOU do x,y,z then THEY won't hurt you anymore. That's a lie, the next time will be worse, then if you try & escape/get help they threaten to kill you, everyone you love, and even threaten to kill themselves(nuclear). We see this dynamic on a micro scale all the time! 3/4
