Russian troops took control of the humanitarian convoy that headed from Zaporizhia to besieged Mariupol on 12 March, Suspilne reported.
"At each checkpoint, the invaders were forcibly seizing food, clothing, hygiene products," according to Zaporizhia Military Administration.
This was the fifth attempt to send a humanitarian convoy to besieged Mariupol, earlier the convoys had to return due to military activity on their route.
As of 22:11 EET, the humanitarian convoy proceeded towards Mariupol, the city of 400,000 under blockade, "despite the dangers and obstacles," according to Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
