Automation != Test Execution

Automation is a wide spectrum of possibilities :)

#automation #execution
Testing != Test Cases

Testing is a much wider concept than just creating Test Cases.
No Bugs != Quality

Quality is a multi-dimensional concept.

Of course, Bugs threaten Quality but there are a lot of factors that affect the overall quality.
Career != Job

Job is just a part of your larger Career landscape.

Think beyond your job too :)
Testing != Assurance

Testing is an information-gathering process.

Testing can't assure product success, quality, etc.
Automation != Coding

You can automate without writing code too.

Explore #NoCode Tools :)
Checking != Testing

Checking is an important part of testing but testing is not only limited to checking.

Testing = Exploring + Checking
Automation != Automation Tools

Tools will come and go (sometimes), automation will continue to be here and shine more :)
Fear of Coding != Coding is Hard

Don't change your destination, change your approach maybe.

Look for mentors.

If you work towards something, but you fail, that's also progress :)
Java != Only Language of Automation Scripting

Java is popular, powerful, and has huge community support.

However, Different languages are useful in different contexts.

C#, Python, Ruby, Perl, JavaScript, etc. are other options too.
What are some other != equations that you would like to share.

Please add it to this thread, Thanks :)

From the book, Amplifying your Effectiveness.

This book was published in the year 2000.

22 years gone & the story is still the same :)
1) Our project was late,
so we added more people.
The problem got worse.
2) When requirements changed,
The schedule did not - were we headed for trouble?
