1. After speaking to several students in the area we found supplies in these shops are dwindling and the prices steep. The other students in the city are starving and are not permitted to leave the university premises to get food.
2. There is another set of students and families in a village in the Kherson region that do not have any access to food as NGOs are not permitted to deliver food there.
3. We worked in cooperation with several other groups and volunteers (BriennaKieara, @mnteensactivists and @blackforeignersukraine) who are campaigning for #evacuatekherson
4. through teamwork we were able to find an NGO called Social Assistance Kherson who go to several different stores and markets around Kherson and collect supplies and deliver them to do the door.
5. Because of YOUR generosity BWBL was able to make a donation of £7500 to the NGO to collect and deliver food for 78 students in KSMU and KSU.
6. Our contact then went to several stores and markets around Kherson and collected as much food as he could find. A lot of the stores were closed however he was able to find some supplies.
7. He then delivered the food to the two addresses: these are the photos the students sent us.
8. He is planning on doing another drop off tomorrow as shops close at 2pm (EET)
Thankyou all for your generosity
9. The students just shared this video that they are making packages for sharing with other students tomorrow
