I attended the Tsholotsho rally and l was impressed. When l voted for Advocate Chamisa in 2018, l really wasn't sure but l knew ED wasn't an option. I was battling with what had happened to MaKhupe and as a Ndebele woman, l was worried for myself and many others.
I questioned if we had a place in the movement. But as time went on, l said let me hear what Advocate plans for the Matebeleland region. Fortunately, way before the Bulawayo rally, we had conversations and presented issues in this region to him.
From the two rallies and conversations we have had so far, l have seen how him and the CCC leadership are working hard to push for inclusiveness and take note of various issues we raised. There's nothing greater than being heard and seen...We are still a long way to go But..
l believe people from our region were/are still frustrated by being invalidated and gaslighted. So for a leader to show that they are trying and they want to hear us is what we ask for. I wish Advocate Chamisa and CCC the best and pray that Bulawayo and Mat Region will finally-
find socio-economic and political justice sooner than later. It's what we know we deserve.
