Why they destroy idols/temples ?

In this case, the ideal of the Pr0phet himself was before them. The Pr0phet was born in Mecca. He started preaching !slam there and later started criticizing the pagan religion...

H!ndu Geñoçide by islāmiç invaders

Alauddin Khilji captured the fort of Chitod in 1303. When it was over, that is, when the war stopped, he gave the order to cut off the H!ndu who could be seen. Accordingly, thirty thousand H!ndus were k!lled in one day.

All these facts were recorded by Amir Khusrau, a famous Persian poet who was present at that time with Alauddin in his Persian prose book Khazain ul-Futuh (The Treasures of Victory).
