One of my dad’s best friends called him. He was in Mariupol, a bomb landed near him and blew off his arm, killed the family standing 10 metres next to him. His apartment and everything he owns is destroyed. All he keeps repeating is “I have nothing left.”
Says Mariupol is completely destroyed and unlikely ever to be rebuilt, the city is gone. What is all this for?
Please can we stop making it about Boris, out of all people?! Why give that man any more coverage?
Imagine a city with the same population as Minneapolis, New Orleans, Lisbon or Lyon completely destroyed, with 90% of the buildings shelled and the whole population hiding in basements for cover. That's what is happening in Mariupol right now.
Thank you to everyone for your well wishes, I can't explain how much it means to us. An update: Sergei is currently in Zaporizhzhia, about to have a number of surgeries to try and save his right hand (apologies, this detail got lost in translation).

…They’re calling us fascists. Mum it’s really tough”
