The @KilifiCountyKE Finance Bill 2022 that will deal with taxation, imposition of taxes and charges etc is now up for public participation this week across the sub-counties.
Ala... @KilifiCountyKE has a hospitality facility in Mtwapa.
There are fee changes in the livestock sector. Kilifi County is a major livestock corridor feeding Mombasa from both Mariakani and Malindi ends.
Fisheries industry has been struck with the most changes in the fees and taxes...
There are no changes on fees and taxes on the liquor businesses because Covid19 really hit them proper....and that's a reasonable move by @KilifiCountyKE
Under Betting Control and Licensing Fees, @KilifiCountyKE has introduced Kes1K as Application Fee for pool table business which was free of charge.
Curiously, we are in an election year, KCPE and KCSE results will be out soon and @KilifiCountyKE didn't adjust their cash cow aka advertising fees....
I think the valuation roll is still stuck in court because it was TBH badly badly done.... But @KilifiCountyKE ni nani, they have added new land rates...

The budget allocation for the purchase of new cars for Kenya’s top three government offices has shot up eight times in the latest changes to the spending plan that also benefited retired President Kenyatta. - @BD_Africa
The offices of President Ruto, DP Gachagua, PCS Mudavadi have been allocated Sh802.2M to buy motor vehicles in the current FY, a significant increase from what had been allocated as Kenyans come to terms with a bloated government that's scuttled Kenya Kwanza’s austerity measures.
In the budget estimates for the Financial Year 2022/23, the three offices had been allocated Sh100.8M, though the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary had not been catered for. However, the exclusion of the Prime CS only cuts the expenditure by 10%, or Sh80M

High Court judge Justice Abigail Mshila has ruled that financial lender cannot go for a loan guarantor after auctioning assets of the principal borrower and failling to recover the outstanding debt. - @nationafrica
Justice Abigail Mshila held that if the asset provided as collateral or security fails to fetch the amount enough to settle the debt, a lender is barred from going for the guarantors.
In a ruling that is likely to serve as a respite to many guarantors, the court further ruled that a lender is not entitled to any compensation if the asset held as security is auctioned and still the sums undue are not recovered.

It was as if he had a premonition that his time was nigh and that he needed to put down in writing his experiences and accomplishments in the education sector where he had made a splendid record.
Prof Magoha intimated that he did not want to exit the scene without documenting his experiences especially in managing the education sector under Covid and implementing the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which became his pet subject.
