Uneasy feeling about Germany today. The majority of German population & the main decision-makers have their perception of the world fogged. Their mentality hosts a superficial concept of “goodness” and an alarming lack of sensitivity.
I’m friends with a refugee couple in Bremen. One day the lady told me her husband came home from an event and started crying.
She asked him what’s wrong and he said that their refugee center organized an excursion for them. To “Bauhaus”
A construction & gardening hypermarket.
Imagine, you lost your home, arrive to a foreign land, with no right to work and you’re taken to a construction supermarket for entertainment.
He said that it was the worst he’d felt in life.
“They showed us all the things we can’t buy for houses that we don’t have.”
Later research showed that it’s a popular destination for many refugee centers.
Perhaps, it’s a way to show German engineering?
But the means are insensitive & inappropriate. Refugees can’t give a fair feedback as they’re expected to be grateful for everything.
Stickers on fancy groceries or restaurants became another way of privileged people to feel good about themselves.
Expressing sympathy to foreigners hit by misfortune by turning it into a marktable brand is a concerning practice that is not justified by any kind intentions.
Why? I keep repeating “half-measures” and “gestures” don’t get the job done.
Europeans need to advocate for work rights for refugees and demand their governments to break ties with countries like Russia, that cause these people to flee their homes in the first place.
Making an app so people can break bread together is beautiful. But it still needs to be admitted that it’s a band-aid on a hemorrhaging wound of global politics.
But people usually don’t. They pat themselves on the back, say they’ve done well and all efforts stop at that.
“I do what I can” should not replace “I do the right thing” coming from places like Berlin.
It’s a lazy and harmful mentality and it needs urgent revamping under the threat of a mass-scale war in the whole Europe.

Malfunctioning the algorithm is, more data training it needs. (C)
My previous tweet was not hate speech. It’s my right to express pain and existential fear and warn off people who wish me death.
But there’s a bigger absurdity to denote:
Russia is abusing human rights in every way imaginable.
Russians, who live abroad and enjoy the western values system demand their rights — the very rights Putin wants to destroy — to do or say whatever they want be defended.
Fascinating, evil paradox.
While supporting a tyrant hellbent on genocide, Russians in western countries use their civil rights to silence criticism to their criminal position.
Protection against hate speech is a golden ticket to gaslighting and avoiding the much needed pushback and accountability.
Germany is the only country today who’s withholding c-300 weapons (“until USA swaps them for something better”) and struggling to disconnect from Sberbank and is STILL on full Russian gas life support.
Russians crashing the party 8 years later with their “no war” after 14k Ukrainians already died.
Pls get rid of those hideous Novgorod flags 🙏 unless they signify that Russia will disband into small regions and this flag will be the banner of demilitarized Moskovia.
I won’t go into detail about which level contains which defensive reaction - you can look them up on wiki.
I want to denote something: for one - you can distinguish Russian people in the comments on this poll by their defense mechanisms being anything but *mature*.
The key points to arms trade in Ukraine sum up to:
🔹 pro-Russian establishment; collaborators, who trade weapons for profit = scum
🔹 strategic trade, that allows for purchases of urgently needed equipment
1st is clear.
2nd is more difficult to accept for your average person.
To explain it in borderline simple terms:
Imagine you have apples but need some oranges very badly.
And someone has oranges but won’t exchange them for your apples.
You sell the apples elsewhere for money and buy the oranges.
