Words spoken about someone often reflect the essence of their character and play part in their legacy by highlighting their achievements and impact

This is what has been said about Steven Gerrard by those who played with him, faced him and had to find ways to stop him.

Thread🧵 Image
Kaka

“For me, and I have always said this, he will be regarded as one of the greatest midfielders ever. No doubt.” Image
Sir Alex Ferguson

“I’ve watched him quite a lot. To me, Gerrard is Keane. Everywhere the ball is, he seems to be there. He’s got that unbelievable engine, desire, determination. Anyone would love to have Gerrard in their team.” Image

Trent when asked about his passing and technique on his recent Liverpool podcast this is what he said.

Thread 🧵 Image
Jan Molby: I always wonder - what gives you the biggest satisfaction? is it the technical bit of being a technical passer or vision?

Trent: Both, I think they both go hand in hand, but I have always said the most important thing is vision because you need to see to be able

to do it. If you can't see it, you will never do it. Whereas if you can see it, you've got a chance to do it.

So I think the foundation for any pass is the vision that goes into and then then decision then you pick your technique and then try and execute.

We have seen many brilliant solo goals under Klopp which are good for the team and players but there are those goals that make a coach feel proud of himself due to how they are tactically executed.

Here is a short thread of those outstanding tactical goals.

THREAD 🧵 Image
1. Mo Salah against City, if you count, it took them four touches to put that ball in the back of City's net.

In split seconds, two diagonals had been played and Salah had head the ball in the net.
2. Against Man City again we see Robbo holding width, Lucho in half space, Salah central and Mane wide on the right.

That's unpredictability, spontaneity that every coach wants his attack to have.

Just found this comp of Ugarte vs Arsenal and felt like it would be a good idea to share it.
😂 I had left this out
I think in this game his awareness peaked, there are very few tackles he made here compared to interceptions, it's like he was ahead of most actions and plays seconds before.

Such games it is where some players go in the shell but he decided to show up and be his absolute best.

Some biases people have about Manuel Ugarte.

Mini Thread 🧵 Image
HE IS JUST "A PURE WINNER"./ TACKLERS.

This is because of the abnormal number of tackles he makes per game and he has totalled this season even after seeing these numbers "Ugarte has won 158 tackles this season in all comps" by @WC_LFC_Torres I also thought that's all ImageImage
He isn't only good at tackling he is also good at interceptions and most defensive actions.

He is averaging 2.09 interceptions per 90 in the league and also.

This is him intercepting Arsenal's buildup.

You might be caring about followers but you don't know that the followers you got are those who want the negativity you give them.

This app isn't real life but it's a reflection of it.

You can't have a circle of nerd friends if you aren't one.
I won't say that am positive or negative but I am what I am in real life, I enjoy every moment of my life, even the dark ones I walk them and I criticize when necessary but am not a complainer who complains all the time.

I like solutions and solutions on this app are seen as ..
Positive tweets that want followers.

I think many people don't follow me because of that and they might be following John because he is good at complaining.
