🧵So – you’re a solo founder who realized it may not be the best idea to go at it alone.
But finding a #cofounder (especially once you’ve set up your business) is different from other hires. It’s about finding someone to build your business with.
Here’s how to get it right 👇
✍️Start by sketching out your ideal fit.
Write a list of your own skills, experience and characteristics to identify what you’re lacking – and who you’re looking for.
Get the word out – let people know you’re on the lookout for the right person.
🧑🤝🧑Consider friends and family
💻Share on social media or with well-connected contacts
🤝Hit up networking events and specialist cofounder matching services
🙂Nail that first impression – hopefully a few interested people will pop up for you to organize an informal chat about what you’re trying to build.
Prep by thinking about what you want to know in advance and what you want to share about yourself.
🛠️Test it out – work on something together.
Consider a trial project, where you work together on something related to the business to see if you’re compatible.
🗒️To kick it off, have an informal conversation about roles and responsibilities (check out our full guide to that here: mailchimp.com/courier/articl…)
If all goes well, you can give feedback on what’s working and have a more serious conversation about formalizing roles.
🧵The world is getting louder (and older): The number of people expected to have disabling hearing loss will nearly double to 700 million worldwide by 2050.
Regulations and tricky tech has made it hard to innovate in #hearingtech in the past. But that’s changing 👇
🍴Exposure to noise pollution is on the rise – even going out to dinner can have an impact as restaurants often reach noise levels of more than 70 decibels.
👂It can difficult to treat the problem: Two people with similar levels of hearing loss could have different needs.
But hearing tech is stepping up:
🎧@mimihearing lets you test your hearing and create a personalized sound profile, which is integrated with audio tech.
📱@noopl_inc is a phone accessory that works with earbuds to pick up and clarify sounds in crowded rooms.
