The album cover for Harry's third studio record, Harry's House, calls to mind aesthetic features of interior architecture and design, as well as fashion, from the 1970s!
Growing from the "back-to-the-land" movement from hippie countercultures in the 60s, 1970s homes were often sleek, minimalist, and modernist, with earthy tones features like Harry's House. Architects like Frank Lloyd Wright whose modernist works 50 years before were inspiration.
Harry's House's interior design calls to mind Marcel Breuer's architecture/furniture design, he was a modernist furniture designer involved in the Bauhaus. Here are some of his most popular designs (the Wassily chair) and other Bauhaus sofas!
Molly Goddard, one of British fashion's most lauded and young designers of the past decade, made the full look on the cover. It's a white babydoll blouse-style blouse with a Peter Pan collar. (Reminds me a lot of Jane Birkin, Françoise Hardy and Paris it girls of the 60s/70s!)
