"The first thing you notice as you walk through the corridors of the Azov battalion's base in Mariupol are the swastikas.
There are many — painted on doors, adorning the walls and chalked onto the blackboards of this former school now temporary headquarters for the Azov troops."
NB. "Former school."
A hint of why Russia is now painted as "evil" for blowing up schools, maternity hospitals, and shopping malls.

French volunteer spoke about Nazi war crimes in Ukraine
“I take full responsibility for what I say. While in Ukraine, I witnessed war crimes. All of them were committed by the Ukrainian army. But in France, we don’t talk about it!”
"When I returned to France from Ukraine, I was shocked: TV channels invite as experts people who have not been to Ukraine and do not know anything about what is happening there now. However, they dare to speculate about these events. .../1
... Between what I hear from the tv screen and what I saw with my own eyes is an abyss.
Azov fighters are everywhere. With neo-Nazi stripes. It shocks me that Europe is supplying weapons to neo-Nazis. On their uniforms, ss symbols are embroidered everywhere. .../2
@Quantum87752981@johnpilger It's a trap for China, just as Ukraine was a trap for Russia which Russia was well aware. The US has cynically used Ukraine at the expense of the Ukrainian people to:
@Quantum87752981@johnpilger 1. Draw Russia into another Afghanistan quagmire, circa. 1979. 2. Sever Euro-Russian economic ties, keeping Europe on its knees and servile to Washington. 3. Accuse China of not being an "honest" broker because of its relationship with Russia.
3 birds. 1 Ukrainian stone.
@Quantum87752981@johnpilger Russia, however, despite the horrific Western spin and utterly false propaganda is methodically achieving its objectives. It could have bombed the crap out of Ukraine, US-style, but instead has chosen to go street-to-street in urban combat to inflict as little damage as possible.
