In 2018, in Kherson, a liter of sulfuric acid was poured on a local activist Kateryna Handziuk in front of her house. That was a murder attempt. After three months of active resuscitation, Kateryna died in agony and was buried in Kherson. 
Handziuk, 33, was killed by a criminal syndicate, which consisted of local authorities, security forces, criminals and pro-Russian forces.
Kateryna was the most vocal voice of Ukrainian and anti-Russian Kherson.
