Have you seen that most of the names on the APC “Unity List” are long time and some founding members of PDP? From the new National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, to Deputy National Chairman, Ken Nnamani, to National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore, they are largely from the PDP bloodline.
Some of them have been accused of corruption at one point or the other.

Tomorrow , they will say that the APC is different from PDP or that the PDP is different from the APC.
The joke is on their gullible supporters who are living in denial of the obvious fact that these two parties have nothing good to offer Nigeria.

Members of the APC are talking about 16 years of PDP misrule, while their brothers in PDP are talking about 7 years of APC misrule.
Doesn’t that show that both parties are decadent?

They are busy measuring their failures while we make silly excuses for them. What we should be talking about is the 23 years of PDP/APC misrule and how to put an end to their joint misrule.
I have said it before and it bears repeating, choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea is not, and should not be the destiny of Nigeria.

We will continue to suffer until we rise above partisan, ethnic and religious sentiments and vote credible people into power.
As long as we keep voting thieves and our enemies under different guises and make excuses for our terrible political choices, our misery as a people will not end.

It has been pointed out that Emmanuel Enukwu was chosen to replace Ken Nnamani as Deputy National Chairman (South). But unsurprisingly, he is also a long standing PDP member who only joined the APC in 2017.

The youngest Commissioner in Akwa Ibom State is my learned friend, Ini Ememobong. He is 38 years old.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Constitutionally, the qualifying age for appointment as a Commissioner in a State in Nigeria is 25 years.
In the last seven years, Udom Emmanuel has not found a single person under 35 years that is good enough to be appointed to head a Ministry.

All that young people get in his government is media aides and SA on Projects Monitoring (I wonder where they see projects to monitor).
The same youths are defending a man that refused to assent to the popular Akwa Ibom Youth Development Bill without a cogent reason.

That is the man that is talking about “Completion Agenda”. He wants to bring his stooge to complete his Evil agenda.

The extradition application filed by the Attorney General of the Federation for Abba Kyari to be extradited to the US is a welcome development. Now that the FG has taken this step, NDLEA has to stay action on the drug related charges against Kyari. That’s the implication.
Investigation by the NDLEA can continue while the extradition application is litigated. But it will be counter productive for the NDLEA to proceed to file charges against Kyari during the pendency of the extradition application. That will make nonsense of the entire process.
Section 3 of the Extradition Act makes it imperative for the prosecution of Kyari on the drug charges be put on hold. This is because by the said provision, extradition application will be refused by the court if the wanted fugitive is undergoing prosecution for another crime.

Dear Nigerians, there's no place in law for spouses to just "sign divorce papers" and end their marriage, and walk away. It is a legal fiction popularized by Nollywood. Every divorce case MUST go through trial process. Oral evidence must be given before a marriage is dissolved.
Divorce cannot be granted by consent of parties. This is based on public policy and the need to uphold the sanctity of marriage. However, ancillary reliefs like custody of children and settlement of properties can be settled out of court and resolved by consent of parties.
A client in one of the divorce cases in our firm pleaded with me this morning to make the other party to the petition to "sign the divorce papers" in order not to waste time. Nollywood is largely to blame for this idea of a husband and wife signing divorce papers to end marriage.

In 2019, I took a round trip flight from Lagos State to Akwa Ibom to vote for Omoyele Sowore for President. As a matter of fact, Sowore was the only candidate that I voted for during the last elections.
I am happy that I gave him my vote. I have no regrets. In 2023, I will either vote my conscience or not vote at all. But what I will not do is to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea.
If Nigeria is not going to experience radical change in leadership in my lifetime, I refuse to be part of those who will keep the status quo in place because they don't want to "waste" their votes.

Those who defended the evil suspension of Twitter because they wanted Twitter to have an office in Nigeria, pay taxes and meet other conditions imposed by the Buhari regime, should tell us where Twitter's office is located and the tax paid by Twitter before the ban was lifted.
A country that's led by leaders with no decency or respect for the truth can never fulfill her full potentials. The Twitter ban was never about those conditions. It was about the bruised ego of a despotic and failed regime that couldn't take rebuke of their incompetent arrowhead.
All that Twitter has promised to do are commitments that a responsible government could have extracted from Twitter by engaging in constructive negotiations. But a tyrant woke up one day and decided to shut down an important cyberspace because his genocidal tweet was deleted.

The lifting of the ban on Twitter does not call for celebration. It calls for retribution by the sane, conscious and conscientious electorates during the next elections.

As Nigerians, we must imbibe the culture of punishing parties and office holders who inflict pains on us.
A regime/party that stifles free speech, promotes draconian policies and suffocates citizens should be dealt with at the polls by citizens. That is how we are going to build an accountable and a viable democratic country with the rule of law. Buhari's regime shouldn't be praised.
The ban on Twitter last year was actuated by vengeance and done in bad faith. The subsequent attempts to twist the narrative and make the ban about "compliance with regulatory requirements" was an afterthought. We all know this happened because Buhari's vicious tweet was deleted.
