Summer vacation meant going to Kolkata,the excitement,the planning for a month long stay kept us busy.

Once when I was very young,maybe 4 or 5 years the whole vacation turned into a. A peaceful morning was shattered when my father & elder brother returned back from the market

The father was bleeding profusely from the knees and brother was obviously shaken. I was too young to understand or now recollect what exactly happened but this incident has been discussed so many times that I can tell you what happened

While my father was purchasing vegetables all of a sudden a bomb was hurled and ppl started running to take shelter.
My father was able to enter a shop and if I am not wrong the shutter was pulled down.
When the situation quietened they immediately returned home

That very summer the next incident which disturbed our peace was from another relatives family
My father's chachi jis son in law was grievously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital where he laid critical fighting for his life for a long time
Why

His chacha ji was politically involved with a party and rival political party workers had come to his house and mercilessly beating him up. My cousin Fufaji had returned home(he was working with the railways) and hearing pitiful screams rushed out to see what was happening

Obviously he rushed to his chacha's aid but he too was brutally beaten up.

So bombs or beating up rivals is not new to Bengal,what I am waiting for is the bhodrolok to wake up and realize what their silence has turned the state into

Saying this violence culture is prevalent everywhere is not enough. Blaming UP or Bihar will not solve their problems
UP is being set right by #YogiAdityanathji and people are standing by him
Bengalis need to wake up from their slumber.
Its now or never

Sorry not the father my father was bleeding as he had slipped in the rush to get my brother to safety.
