The voice of wisdom was ignored. Or the real political goals are far from what is declared.

On Feb. 15, John J. Mearsheimer gave an interview to the King’s College students’ YouTube channel on the Ukrainian crisis.

Refreshing memory:
Ukr politician Tymoshenko urged "to take up arms and go to kill these damn katsaps together w/ their leader". She vowed that she was intended to make every effort so that "not even a scorched earth is left of Russia!" (That was in 2014).
She called to nuke Russia and the Russians as well.
Irina Farion, who made her political career on promoting hatred towards the Russians living in Ukraine and Russia, has repeatedly called for the killing of everyone who does not speak Ukrainian.
She did not disdain even to fight the Russians in kindergarten, where she threatened children who had common Russian names and urged them to "pack their bags and leave for Moscow." Farion called to kill "Russian bio-garbage" as well.

Ukrainian soldiers shoot Russian prisoners of war in the legs and afterwards give them a severe beating. At the beginning of the video, there are Russian POWs lying on the ground with bullet wounds in their legs, some of them have got leg bones broken. #WarCrimes
It might give the impression that the Russian military were captured after having been wounded. But that's not the case. At the end of the video, we can see Ukrainian soldiers shooting all the newly arrived prisoners through their legs.

Many of them are dying from shock due to the pain right on camera. And all of this is being filmed by Ukrainian soldiers themselves.

Russia conducted no air strikes on the building of a drama theater in Mariupol, where civilians could be held hostage.

The militants of the nationalist battalion "Azov" blew up the theater building, having mined it themselves.
Refugees who had escaped from Mariupol were informing previously that the militants of the Azov Battalion could hold civilians hostage in the theater building, using the upper floors as firing points.
“Azov” is using the dirtiest methods to blame Russia for their own crimes, perfectly knowing that taking into account the current narrative, whatever they do, media and people will go for the anti-Russia narrative, but not for the truth.

The Western decision to cancel all Russia at once for the stance and people’s support for the operation will have serious consequences for the West itself, resulting in deep shifts in the mindset of the Western civilisation taking it extremely far from its own values.
The start of the shift can be witnessed right now. How far it will go, the time will show.
Interesting that in the beginning, sanctioning Russia, the West was stressing that the sanctions are not against the Russian people. The West expected the protests and people’s outrage against the operation.

The former head of the security bloc of the Odessa neo-Nazi "Right Sector" and candidate for MP from the National Corps, Demyan Ganul, called on like-minded people to "seize the chance" to clean up the region from opponents.
The first in line for extermination are the representatives of the opposition, Russian speaking community and the clergy of the Orthodox Church. In the comments people share addresses and details on property of the families of potential victims.
