from thus close to next thu close , an ATM option per Brenner and Subrahmanyam , gets priced sqrt(5) -> sqrt(4) -> sqrt(3) -> sqrt(2) -> sqrt(1) -> 0
all things being equal , that is no price jump and Bolatility move, today being friday , the option value gets destroyed by a factor of 1 minus sqrt(4)/sqrt(5) or roughly 10% in value
