Seriously? Isn't that for corporate ladder climbing?
It's taken me a year, but I see the value now. And I've made some progress in building one.

No! You don't. The beauty of gambling: No politics. No corporate ladders. Just win and you'll succeed.

A good network can:
- Get you answers to hard questions.
- Help you solidify an angle.
- Get you access to weak books you're limited at.
- Help you profit off your weak book outs without an angle.
- Get more money down on your model plays.

Ask Questions.
There's plenty you don't know. That's fine. #GamblingTwitter is a cesspool but most people here are actually helpful.
Getting a question answered has the added benefit of letting others know that you exist. Existing is a pre-req for joining a network.

Help Out.
Afraid of asking dumb questions? Good news: there's always someone out there asking a dumber question.
Answer those questions.
The person asking genuinely appreciates the answer. And people smarter than you appreciate not having to answer that question.

Once you learn the answers to the non-repetitive questions, answer those.
And answer the questions that people aren't asking. Learn something cool? Share it. (But don't give away edges).

- Complain about bad beats
- Tout short-term records
- Push meaningless trends
- Tweet just to tweet
Don't sacrifice your credibility to gain followers. You need credibility to effectively leverage your network.

The hardest part of building a network is getting started.
Networks merge. Every person in your network likely has a network of their own, or will someday.
Keep doing these things and you'll find that your network will grow faster with less effort.
