🔟 "Donda" by @kanyewest

"Separating the art from the artist" requires willful ignorance of how an artist's views bleed into their art.

Ye's "Donda" is no exception, particularly when it comes to his choice of collaborators.

9️⃣ "Justice" by @justinbieber

This is a standard pop showing for the streaming era: lots of songs, lots of cameos, and lots of easy-to-memorize choruses.

It's got every right to compete in pop categories, but it has no business competing for AOTY.

8️⃣ "Love for Sale" by @itstonybennett and @ladygaga

"Love for Sale" is most significant for being Tony Bennett's 61st and last album.

It makes sense to give Bennett's swan song a respectful nod, but it wouldn't make any sense for him to win.

7️⃣ "Happier Than Ever" by @billieeilish

The Grammy darling's record is low-hanging fruit for an AOTY nom.

The tracklist is far too uneven to rank among the year's best releases. While its highs are very high, there are nearly as many forgettable lows.

6️⃣ "Back of My Mind" by @HERMusicx

The singer-songwriter and instrumentalist is known for folding timely messages into a blend of R&B and classic rock — and some critics have praised this album as her most commanding, multi-faceted project to date.

5️⃣ "We Are" by @JonBatiste

Batiste is an industry stalwart, racking up 11 Grammy nods this year alone.

His bright fusion of pop, blues, hip-hop, and New Orleans soul is buoyed by a strong undercurrent of ancestral respect and artistic solidarity.

4️⃣ “Evermore" by @taylorswift13

Although it contains more weak spots than its predecessor, Swift's lyrical mastery and stores of empathy have rarely been more potent.

But she did just win AOTY for "Folklore," which inevitably detracts from her chances.

3️⃣ "Montero" by @LilNasX

The pop star's first full-length project is everything his Grammy-nominated EP "7" wasn't: energetic, honest, deeply charming, and true album of the year material.

2️⃣ "Planet Her" by @DojaCat

The rapper-slash-singer is a natural entertainer, able to shift her flow at a moment's notice and adapt to any terrain, from Afrobeat-inspired funk and glitchy trap to smoldering R&B and dreamy '90s pop.

1️⃣ "Sour" by @oliviarodrigo

"Sour" was met with a knockout combination of acclaim: absolute fan devotion, commercial success, and critical consensus.

Not only is it the most deserving victor this year, but it also feels like the most likely.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has taken a huge hit to his empire this month.

Here’s how it all started. ⬇️

The firestorm began when the rapper engaged in a series of controversial and offensive behaviors, which ultimately cost him several brand deals.

businessinsider.com/kanye-west-des…
The losses have cost Ye billions, he says, but he's unfazed. In an Instagram post Thursday, he said, "I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I'm still alive."

As of Thursday morning, @Forbes estimates his net worth is $400 million.

Anthony Q. Farrell (@aqfarrell) is a showrunner and executive producer who used to be a writer on "The Office." After being laid off, he couldn't land another writers room job for years.

This is how staying creative led to his second big break. 👇

Farrell was a writer on "The Office'' for two seasons back in 2008 and 2009. It was his first TV writing job.

Prior to moving to LA, he was involved in theater, acting, writing, and directing, which led to comedy school and eventually writing.

Farrell says that "The Office" was one of the better writers rooms in terms of having at least a few people of different cultures and ethnicities — it had more people of color in its writers room than most of the shows at the time.

Tucked away in a conservative suburb of Los Angeles is a small, Christian school offering an unaccredited education the owner — Kanye West — claims could "actually turn your kids into, like, geniuses."

People may or may not be surprised to hear this but — reality shows are actually not @MaryFitzgerald_’s cup of tea. She said watching drama and people fighting makes her uneasy.

Still, being on "Selling Sunset" on @netflix has been good for business. ⬇️

For her personally, she has price cutoffs now: Fitzgerald won't sell any house under $2 million unless it's a favor for a friend.
