Setting aside the intrigue and skullduggery of Zelensky, oligarchs, and Washington, it's sad and difficult irony that real Ukrainian nationalists are fighting for the side that will ultimately destroy their movement, their identity, their people, and their sovereignty
Looking West and seeing what happens to movements that insist a real people are comprised of a common blood, language, and religion, what do they think will happen in time to them?
Macron has said "There is no such thing as French culture." What do Ukrainian ultranationalists think of, "There is no such thing as Ukrainian culture"?
The West hates Hungary because it asserts itself as a particular nation, home to a real people with a real culture. If you're a Ukrainian nationalist, you are fighting on the side that wants to eliminate countries like Hungary and is only tolerating your existence for now
The writing on the wall is clear for Ukrainian nationalists. The same people who want to dismantle particularism and nationalism are only behind them for as long as they're impaling themselves on Russia swords for the NWO
The same dynamic plays out in the US. Neoconservatives like Bill Krisrol have explicitly called for replacing the Americans he doesn't like, who also happen to be the ones most likely to fight neocon-backed foreign wars
Seeing a lot of coping and seething over this thread. Good. It's hard for some to accept that nationalism in the West is not allowed to any greater degree than it serves the ultimate anti-nationalist ends of globalist imperialism.
What's obvious is that Ukrainian nationalists will fight invaders to the end. What is also obvious is that this war was avoidable but made inevitable by Washington in particular and was never about nationalism to begin with
What's true here is true over there. The people Bill Kristol wants to replace are the ones most likely to be nationalistic Americans. Nationalism abroad is only promoted to the extent that it serves the globalist imperialism.

It took a while but even the Washington Post cannot deny that Ukrainian forces have effectively used their own civilians as human shields. This article actually shows how Ukrainian government officials lie/mislead about the realities on the ground.

washingtonpost.com/world/2022/03/…
This is the most notorious example. Notice the stark difference between the viral tweet that appeals to author being on the ground (who could question an eyewitness?) and what she actually wrote: okay so Ukrainians fired at Russians from civilians areas and maybe it was a mistake
I can't think of a single Ukrainian journalist who has pointed this out. All of them simply parrot the government's lies, which actually make civilians less safe, and demand more intervention. It took media outside Ukraine to mention this.

Now's a good time to talk about Ihor Kolomoisky: he created Zelensky's political career and has a controlling interest in Burisma, which Hunter Biden joined right after a U.S. State Department backed color revolution replaced Ukraine's government with one approved by Washington
Something Trump didn't consider when asking Zelensky to "look into" the Biden family in Ukraine is that it likely would implicate his biggest benefactor in some scandal
A good question is whether Alexander Vindman merely acted on his own, or if there's uh more to the story

Important to remember when pundits and politicians talk like catty high school girls about Russia's advance being "stalled": what they're really doing is revealing how indiscriminately bloodthirsty they are. Image
Often it's true that those with Reddit-tier takes of Russia getting owned, advocating WWIII, and wouldn't hesitate to flatten whole cities are the same. They're also the loudest exponents of democracy, which I was told is actually very peaceful and rational.
In other words, "authoritarian" Russia is *more restrained* than democratic countries at war. But that violates pretty much everything Westerners have been taught, right?

2014 interview with an Azov fighter: "We are behind enemy lines here; everyone is against us: the police, the army, the people," he said. "We trust no one." He means Mariupol when he says "behind enemy lines."

In other words, they view many *Ukrainian civilians* as enemies.
It is important to remember that Azov and its political allies don't mind civilians getting killed in Mariupol because they hate the pro-Russian population there. Western media only cares about them insofar that they can goad us into the war.
thetimes.co.uk/article/kiev-l…
Western media is creating this image of a city united against Russian aggression simply waiting for a US-led NATO to enter the war.

The reality is that Azov and its allies hate a large part of the civilian population and are using them as human shields.

Zelensky said he was told: "you're not going to be a NATO member, but publicly, the doors will remain open."

In other words, the West used Ukraine as proxy to antagonize Russia and set Ukrainians up for disaster. Washington in particular *lied* about its intentions.
This is why it's infuriating when people suggest that only Putin is to blame. Liberal interventionists literally made this war inevitable. edition.cnn.com/europe/live-ne…
Of course, Ukrainian officials and Zelensky were happy to play along because they're corrupt too.

The people that got screwed are civilians now caught in the crossfire.

The Western intelligence apparatus won the information war in Ukraine before a shot was fired. Even new publications like the Kyiv Independent have received support from NGOs that do in public what the CIA used to do in private. My story in @HumanEvents +🧵humanevents.com/2022/03/15/the…
The Independent is a good example. It's got growing subscriber base now, but according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, it was created with an "emergency grant from the European Endowment for Democracy," a spinoff of the National Endowment for Democracy. What is the NED?
On the surface, it's an NGO that promotes civil society worldwide by, among other things, sponsoring and providing training for journalists and activists directly or indirectly. The reality, however, is different. web.archive.org/web/2022030510…
