Most far right people don't give a shit about minorities.
Does he know someone with the Syndrome?
If so, that could explain it: "fix just my issues, me me me" is a far right character trait
Else, he doesn't have a personal experience, then it's either virtue signalling (unlikely for the far right) or .. he's up to something.
Question is, what?
What makes me angry on top of the discriminatory nature of the Bill/Act is that it has attracted vast armies of virtue signallers to fawn over it.
It couldn't have failed to pass, it's a virtue signalling gift.
In summary, @LiamFox is either selfish or evil. So it would be better if it turns out he knows someone with the Syndrome and is merely selfish. Because I've no idea what evil agenda he's pursuing otherwise.
Possible evil agenda: delegating to the Secretary of State could allow them to actually save money on a large population of people with special needs, by guidance that includes money-saving recommendations to "meet their needs"
